Could Disney be in some copyright trouble for that?

Yes, they could find themselves in trouble for things like that. There are actually cases where businesses have successfully sued one another for something as simple as having similar decor and/or color palettes. Every time I look at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, I keep asking myself why San Diego's Hotel del Coronado didn't sue. The exterior elevations and colors of Disney's structure are as near a carbon copy as you could ever hope to find.

I can photograph these buildings and sell my pics

Read the .pdf document that daliseurat links to three posts above. You can take all of the photographs you want. But you can't sell any of them without permission. And therein lies the rub!

I would think that many locations that have been copied by Disney would choose not to use their right to sue (remember, they don't have to) as it's pretty good publicity for them (as seen in................).
That's the one saving grace of the whole copyright thing. The copyright holder has the right to sue if it's been infringed but they don't have to as they also have the right to say "that's OK but I'm watching".
It's a good job copyright isn't like some other crimes where the state needs to prosecute. It's (in the UK anyway) a civil case.
Interestingly, I live very close to the ex-Beatle Paul McCs old house where he lived as a child and I'm forever being photographed in my car (a rather distinctive red 3-wheeler) as, when I drive past, they see this unusual vehicle and can't resist taking photos. many of the tourists are from abroad.
Wait until I see one published  Let the money roll in.......................

Sweet! What kind of tri-car do you have? Let me guess...a Peel P50? How 'bout a Bond 875? A Reliant Robin?

I was close to buying a Campagna T-Rex a few years back.

What's the little car that Mr. Bean drives around?

It's not a tri-car, but I'm putting myself down for the all-electric Toyota FT-EV that is coming to the US in 2012.

Wait until I see one published :( Let the money roll in.......................

This would be a case of where they are interested in the car, and not its occupant, so according to what is stated in that .pdf document, you would probably be out of luck. :(

So, show us a pic of you in your car! :D

A Reliant Robin :(
Mr Bean drives a Mini-Minor. I think there was a Robin in one of the films though.
I haven't taken a photo of me in the car (arms aren't long enough).
I'll get someone to take one
Here's a similar one .

The Disneyvero post is interesting. Surprisingly they don't mention whether or not you can sell camcordered versions of the THEME PARK shows.

In Japan, it is illegal to sell camcorder recorded shows/events from Tokyo Disney Resort. Last year, three persons were arrested for selling "professional quality" DVD's of shows and events that they legally recorded at TDR. They sold the DVD's containing 3-4 shows each online at about US$100 apiece. They reportedly sold about 100 DVD's a month for at least a year.

May the main problem in Japan be the agreements they have with Disney about not being able to export the stuff - similar to the problems we all have getting their CD sets etc?
They seem pretty strict on not letting stuff out of Japan - although I did recently get quite a nice DVD via the Internet of DLRP and DisneySea which was marketed quite openly but not from Japan.

Not only are the EAC CDs horribly packaged and overpriced, but most importantly all of the music can be found either for free online or (!) on official Disney CDs.

I believe in fairies...........................

Let's hope they don't get too carried away though.

I also note that their titles are now no longer for sale on Amazon and are marked "Currently unavailable.
We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock."
Also no links to "also available from these suppliers" which, I think, says a lot.

You can still order Tokyo Disney product from amazon.jp and several other asian based sites.
The only one I know of that says they can't sell to U.S. (unless you make a special order) is cdjapan. Which sucks because they had the lowest shipping rates.

There's no problems getting generally released stuff from Japan (apart from the shipping costs, of course) but it seems that Tokyo Disneyland have a contractual agreement that the stuff only available in the parks (like the boxed sets) cannot be exported out of Japan. They can be ordered from outside the country but have to have a delivery address within Japan.
There's not that much that's "park only", fortunately.
I wasn't aware of the extent of this agreement when I posted those comments. :p

This isn't some 7 year old who downloaded Bananas in Pajamas and is getting sued by the RIAA, this is some guy making money off of selling Disney audio.

Extinct Attractions is now an extinct attraction.

I'll believe it when I see it.

Believe it.

Wow! They were up and running just last week. In fact, I sent a letter off to Disney legal about his World's Fair set being a near carbon copy of the officially released one...I wonder if that's what did it? I have no idea, but I find it interesting that I did that and now the sites are all down...why now? It's not like he hasn't been on their radar before. Maybe it was finally one of the lawsuits that he "dismissed" that got him?

Good point.
Maybe they have just had him under observation waiting for something like this (a virtual clone of commercially available material) to happen.
He may have been able to wriggle out of the "extinct" stuff - plus bad publicity "I done it for charity m'lud" so they kept a low profile and watching brief.
It's one thing to churn out copyright stuff that they no longer use but when it's in direct competition, that's another matter (for Disney).
Easier to get a conviction as well, I would have thought. Pirate copy? Transport him to Van Dieman's Land forthwith (oh no, that was us did that and can't send him to the colonies can they, he's already there ) :p
Give a man enough rope...........................

It's party time at Disney legal I'll warrant.
