"Alice In Wonderland" Soundtrack LP Question

Yeah, I should've been more specific, 'cause you're right - stereo recordings from the 50's and early 60's of classical music (Living Stereo, I'm looking in your direction) were awesome. But those stereo rock recordings... oy. Having a singer's voice in one ear and his guitar in the other is...

WDW - Splash Mountain /Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Playlists

If the WDWF tracks weren't, in fact, played at WDW, where were they played? DL's Critter Country? One wonders why they didn't just end up on those kiosks instead.

"Alice In Wonderland" Soundtrack LP Question

Thanks for the info, Greg! I agree that the mono Alice sounds fantastic. Mono sound gets a little too much disrespect if you ask me - for any material from the mid-60s on back, it's really the way to go. Until that point, stereo mixes were a niche market and just an afterthought on the part...

    Three Cheers For Tape Hiss!

What he said - of course I'd prefer audio to NOT have noise. But the tapes most of our favorite tracks are on are gonna have hiss and I love that Randy doesn't try to remove it. Trying to eliminate the tape hiss always takes sound information with it and dulls the entire product (as well as...

    Three Cheers For Tape Hiss!

Hey there, folks. I don't post very often, but I've been ODing on Disney audio the past few weeks on my spiffy new headphones and felt the need to speak up - Randy Thornton is the patron saint of the Disney back catalog. Yeah, sure, I know you knew that already. You love him because he...

Disneyland Dark Rides - Queue Music?

IRC, there were some bizarre issues involving the rights to the music itself that prevented Snow's release.

    POTC Post Refurb Audio

Wait, if this is missing Depp and Rush, would it be too paranoid of me to theorize that there are licensing issues at work here that prevent their tracks from actually being released?

A Question for Randy Thornton or Anyone!!!

Since Black Pearl's score both a) sucks and b) is the same thing over and over and over again, I could live without an expansion. DMC, on the other hand, is more than worthy of two discs. That said, I don't imagine it'll happen - soundtrack scores have a seriously niche audience. The money to...

Latest Disney Archive releases in LOSSLESS format on MusicGiants.com

While this seems mostly legit, those files ARE incredibly bloated. I've ripped FLACs from Wonderland CDs and they aren't nearly so big. For instance, the file sizes of my Camarata Alice FLACs bounce between 8 and 15 mb. You'd think a reasonably professional service like MusicGiants would use...

Beauty and the Beast on Broadway

Check out Susan Egan's "So Far..." - http://www.amazon.com/So-Far-Susan-Egan/dp...6496&sr=1-3 Broadway's original Belle tackling the song.

The Bilge Rats and the Bootstraps

An episode of the Window to the Magic podcast captured an entire performance live that sounded pretty good, though it's not my favorite performance. The version on the podcast has the woman singing "Part Of Your World," while when I saw it live, one of the men actually sang it. It was awesome.

    Who Framed Roger Rabbit? soundtrack

http://www.soundtrackcollector.com/catalog...id=2804#bootleg It's not even remotely official. That said, it IS unbelievably awesome, so don't be afraid to skirt legality - I somehow doubt there'll ever be a REAL expanded release of this score.

Old Fantasyland Band Organ Music/MSEP Music

    Haunted Mansion movie soundtrack

No, that's the Haunted Mansion Soundtrack of the Damned. I'm assuming the poster is looking for the complete score, which isn't commercially available but DOES exist if you know where to look (or who to ask). Personally, I'd check the newsgroups.

    Aladdin: Complete Cue List

Okay, so I got... distracted... tonight, and decided to waste a few hours compiling a cue list for Aladdin, since I kinda wanted one, just to see how much was missing off the album. I don't know if anyone else actually cares, but here it is anyway. This is all from studying the DVD release...

Archived Disney music IS coming to itunes !!!

Wait, they're releasing an album called "The Music Behind The Magic?" Does anyone else smell widespread confusion coming on? Well, maybe not WIDESPREAD... but still, that's just a tad on the annoying side.

Should Disney Theme Park Music Be Released on iTunes?

Should it? Like the good doctor, I agree that any official method of distribution is good and a step in the right direction, I ALSO agree that the compression of the files on iTunes just doesn't float my boat. I mean, MP3s are fine if I'm dealing with fan-recorded bootlegs, but official sound...
