    OT: USB turntables

I guess I'll agree to disagree about the turntable. If the USB tables produce a sound you like, then fine. But they in no way equal the sound vinyl is capable of producing on a quality turntable. The thing with most new records though, is that they're far better mastered than the CDs, which...

    OT: USB turntables

Actually, the sound of most records is frequently better than CDs if they're in good condition and your turntable/cart/preamp is solid. USB Turntables just don't hold a candle to any quality table made today (or even in the past). I used to listen mostly to CDs but now I do all my listening...

    OT: USB turntables

This really isn't true. Vinyl sound quality is not like CDs - it improves dramatically the better your turntable is. Better turntables will have higher highs, deeper bass, and resolve a great deal more detail. The noise level will likely be lower as well. Most USB turntables are cheap pieces...

    MSEP LP

You're sure it was an LP? The excellent "Golden Age of Walt Disney Records" discography book only notes the five issues of the 7" picture disc (two from 1973, three from 1977). While the picture on the disc itself looks spiffy, it's not particularly holographic.

A Musical Souvenir of Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom

Wow, not sure how I missed that track listing the first time. Thanks!

A Musical Souvenir of Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom

Howdy! I recently got a copy of this picture disc from 1973 and while it totally rules, I'd like a little info on it. See, I got the disc loose, without the backing card it original came with, the net result of which is that I have no idea what artists are actually playing the songs on the...

    Club 33, Disneyland Forever tracks?

To quote the liner notes to the Disneyland Forever Project: What Disneyland Forever identified as Club 33 music was used primarily as background music for Walt?s Restaurant at Disneyland Paris (since replaced). It may also have played VERY briefly at Disneyland?s Club 33 (as an excuse to sell...

    Annette's Beach Party

I feel the same way - I'd be all over things like the 20k Leagues release if they were lossless. As it stands, I refuse to pay for music that insanely compressed - I buy my high-end audio gadgetry for a reason, darn it!

A History of the Official Album

Yeah, all the live entertainment rules, though with God as my witness, I will never ever EVER enjoy "I Love A Parade." Luckily, it's at the end of side one so I can just flip the record when it comes up!

A History of the Official Album

I got this disc in the mail yesterday, coincidentally, and it IS awesome - all live entertainment. Also, some of the live tracks that were later repeated on Official Albums are longer here. Coney Island Washboard, for instance, is almost twice as long here as compared to the "Main Street...

    MSEP on Vinyl

Bill, did you ever check the deadwax in the center of the Official Albums to see if the numbers etched into the wax are different for each revision?

"Hey, I've Never Heard THAT Before!"

Nah, I've got the early Official Album too. The extra bits on the picture disc actually go on for quite a bit longer than on the (later replaced) official album.

"Hey, I've Never Heard THAT Before!"

I've heard everything up until a few months ago. When my iPod got shot, I stopped listening. But yeah, this disc had stuff I don't recall Patrick ever playing, which is partly why I was so surprised.

"Hey, I've Never Heard THAT Before!"

Have you ever been listening to a different release of a familiar Disney recording, only to get knocked on your butt upon hearing something you'd never heard before? It's pretty much one of the best feelings in the world. I just got the 1977 Main Street Electrical Parade picture disc in the...

    The Disneyland Concert Band

Being more specific probably would've helped. I was kicking around eBay and saw a few records, mostly of patriotic American standards, that were by the Disneyland Concert Band, accompanied by a Glee Club of some sort. So I was mostly just curious to know if it was the same as the Disneyland...

    The Disneyland Concert Band

Quick question for the experts - I'm a vinyl nerd and I've currently been cruising for Disneyland (the park) records. Here's my question - I've seen some records listed as being performed by the Disneyland Concert Band with a glee club. Is this the same band from the park, or is it an in-house...

A History of the Official Album

My 1980 vinyl has "How Long Will My Baby Be Gone," and fades after Small World and King Mickey on the MSEP. Now I wanna hear YOUR version! If we wanna get down to the nitty gritty, I suppose we could check the stampers on the different records. Clearly they snuck a different version of the...

    Arabian Nights Movie Version

A used copy of the original CD release is pretty easy to find too. I grabbed mine for a couple bucks a year ago.

    Wilderness Lodge Christmas Loop

Hi all! Just a quick question - does anyone have a track & artist listing for the Wilderness Lodge Christmas loop? It's my favorite holiday loop, but info seems to be scarce on it.

    Ride-Related Wonderland Titles Online?

Hey there, just a quick question - has there ever been any news from Randy about the ride-related Wonderland CDs turning up online? I mean, they had the LP soundtracks to Lincoln, The Tiki Room, etc on the kiosks, but it doesn't seem like those discs ever showed up on iTunes (or on MusicGiants...
