Allright I finally found a Mail Order Operator who was able to find the CD for me. She said that the sku number I gave her was a little off. Here's the number she read me for the 2004 album: 128-14697 just one digit off (the eight) and no zero at the beginning. She actually was only able to find it by searching for "Where the magic lives". I was still a bit skeptical but she confirmed the new tracks so I guess we'll see in 10-20 business days.

Granted, it's not an imagineering marvel, but it's still an enjoyable experience--my wife particularly loves it. Of course, I'm talking about the Florida version--I don't know how different the DL version is(I didn't think there was that much of a difference, from what I remember reading about it). And as far as the lines, unless you want to wait, usually about 45 minutes to an hour, you need a FAST PASS--that's very interesting about the DL "non-existing lines"(we were able to board repeatedly one time last visit because of the "magical" fireworks diversion).

Michael, The Florida version is a really good darkride style version of the movie. Its very enjoyable and has fun surprises (the bouncing ride vehicles, the books with the projections) but the DL version is just short...they basically just did what they could with the space, no books, no bouncing ride vehicle (just a weird constantly undulating motion through out...why? I dont know... ;) ) It just feels cheap and rushed and pointless...

I read this earlier this week on Miceage:

We've told you in previous updates how Winnie the Pooh is now seen as a perfect example of a waste of capital investment for the parks, and was subsequently the beginning of the end for previous resort head Cynthia Harriss's Disney career.

...and it makes me happy :)

But the Florida version is a lot of fun and it upsets me that they couldnt even make THAT version here instead of an ever cheap "off-the-shelf" version we have now

:(

Whoa! $8.95 for shipping on a CD? Geez...I guess that I'll wait until my October trip to WDW for it.

Thanks for the info, by the way!

At the moment this CD is not offered at DL. For a brief period, when the DLForever system was barely clinging to life, DL carried the current OA and the Reflections of Earth CD. This was really unusual. Then the other day, the current Wonderland kiosks listed 5-6 WDW commercially available CD's though they were not present in the shop. A few days later they were gone. The CM today told me that he believed there were plans to release "dozens" of titles that were commercial releases and make them burn on demand, sepereate from the Wonderland selection. This sounds like it would be possible. It would certainly make getting WDW CD's a heck of a lot easier. But as for the newest WDW OA, nothing yet.

To answer a question posed earlier in this thread... yes, Randy has *finally* fixed the "Bear Bears Band" mess. The CBJ track now has the proper "The Bear Band Bears..." vocal... what was that they said about the squeaky wheels getting the grease?

The best way to get the new songs is to purchase a copy of the CD yourself. Any other method would be illegal copyright infringement.

Personally I find the DL version of Pooh to be muchmuch better executed than WDW's....

You really think so? You'll have to explain that one...DLs Pooh is a shorter, less inventive version of the WDW version. With no vehicle "Tigger bouncing" or "Floody place" water motion, no books or book projections, and the scenes are shorter (at least the Blustery day scene is) and sort of crammed together...how is it "much much better executed"?

Yep, I?ve gone and broken one of my own rules yet again. Below you will find the playlist for the 2004 edition of the WDW Official Album.

Though I had planned to include even more material (like the current EPCOT Entrance Medley, One Little Spark, The Wonders of China, and so many more) but I ran out of disc space. You may even notice one of the classics is missing ? It?s a Small World. Seeing that the attraction will not be back in operation until I have the next version of the Official Album done, I decided to use that time for something new. You will also note, that everyone?s favorite sing-along track is also absent ? Test Track.

Now that I will have 2 whole discs to fill up next year, I?ll try to get the titles you?ve been requesting for some time ? as I still read all your posts and have kept up with what you want.
Randy Thornton

I thought I'd dredge up Randy Thornton's comments that accompanied his announcement of the 2004 OA for WDW. Lots of good things coming our way soon, it seems.
