Backtracking to the start of the thread, I was meandering around Amazon and came across the page for the Haunted Mansion DVD and actually read the reviews.
The third one was interesting (first two stated the obvious that they had thought "Ah, Disney made" and were disappointed to find a home-burned/printed unsealed DVD arrive).
I found it most interesting to read there that
"The Disney company has even just recently bought into the product granting behind the scence and archive access. ". (mis-spelling of scenes as written in the review)

It is that person's sole review of anything.

I'm not too worried about the interviews etc but I think it shows that Disney has, at last, done something and (I imagine) will be watching very closely from now on.

Ah, but it's not back. 'Extinct Attractions' is still showing the Doogie Howser slide show. 'Classic Theme Parks' is a "new business," created on April 15, 2009, according to a WHOIS search. By the sounds of it, he may even be hiding behind a new partner in crime — his "shipping company" — located in Florida. He/they have paid a couple of extra bucks to keep the registration details private this time around.

Disney, the RIAA, the AFM, etc., can now spend another ten years deciding whether they want to go after his "new business."

I do think it was rather stupid of Oneal to send out that e-mail announcement as it serves to connect the two businesses. But most criminals aren't all that bright. Did anyone else see the story about the rapist who answered the door for the pizza delivery guy while he had a woman tied up behind his sofa?

I had several folks ask some questions, so here are the answers.

1) Where did you go and why?

answer: Two reasons I shut the web site off.

1) An employee doing shipping was making bad chaoices, and caused orders to be late and had otherissues.

Soultion, that person is no longer here, and we hired a shipping company to do the work

2) Our items needed a refresh, we wanted a video preview for every video, and revamp the audio to include more downloads, better cds with better track information (lots of research)

We wanted to fix any stray orders caused by this person, as well as fix the site, and products for you.

The new sie is much better, not all the products are up yet. But there are 75, and each has a great preview.

Cds and ausio downloads are next, followed by video downloads too.

The downloads allow you to watch online (no downloads) or you can download, and it keeps ALL YOUR DOWNLOADS in one spot so you can get them from any computer.

The changes are needed, and our new shipper is so much better

I don't think I've ever seen an email from them that didn't contain a ton of bad spelling.

And I am surprised to see they still sell content they REALLY don't own that is commercially available. Leads me to believe that their disappearance had nothing to do with any Disney legalities. Perhaps, EAC was attached to the charity angle and they ceased doing any charity things and got caught and had to change names? We'll never know for sure.

Toad DVD doesn't look very promising though.

Interesting discussion. And one that is very current.

For the record, I have never asked for or made a dime (or penny) from my videos. I do it for my love of the parks and my wish to record for posterity current shows and attractions, and to show those who missed old attractions what the fuss is about. I don`t charge anything for them; they are free to download for anyone who wishes to.

I go further when mixing audio that I`m aware is available by dirtying it; fireworks shows with live pyro bangs, stage shows with crowd noise. Yes, it`s a grey area and yes, Disney knows about what I do. I hope there is a happy balance struck between publicity/fan community and filling-a-gap and not going too far.

Extinct Attractions is back with an amazing CD. Dave received a bunch of reel-to-reel tapes that has all of the unreleased EPCOT treasures. In fact, he has the never before seen music for the "Oasis Garden resteraunt [sp] music" which, believe it or not, is the same music from the Oasis at the Animal Kingdom. Who knew they just recycled old EPCOT music when they opened up the Animal Kingdom.

Most of the audio in the collection is from WDW Forever and and pretty much all of it is completely mislabeled. The score music from the "A Dream Called Epcot" film is actually a collection of files that was first posted here at Magic Music:

Pretty much the only file in the collection of any interest is the Epcot monorail narration, which is pretty neat and of a decent quality. But make no mistake, this is the same ripoff BS we've come to know and love from Mr. O'Neal.

Did you listen to the podcast where he describes these treasuries? Pretty funny stuff. I really don't understand how he gets away with it.
