I noticed Snow White was not listed in the Fantasyland Dark Ride Suite... Were the songs from Snow White's Scary Adventures and The Wishing Well a problem due to the Bourne Company liscensing arrangements?

Let me clarify that my previous post was not meant to stop any of the spirited debates that this board is so good for. I just wanted to remind everyone to be careful of using comments like this:

-Disney's so cheap, if they wanted to spend money they could have included ___________ and only then would I be happy.

-WDR doesn't know what they are doing

-I could have created a better mix in my echo-y bathroom


Hey we're all entitled to our opinion, and feel free to post whatever you want, but keep in mind that Randy does read this board and whether the set is exactly as YOU would have done it, it's a very personal project that a lot of time effort and money went into. So let's at least try to make it friendly.

For all those wanting the parade music - I am sure there will eventually be a release of the music, so be patient. Be happy with this awesome set!

I'm wondering which Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln show is on the box. I'm betting that Randy wouldn't use the, let's say - less than popular, newest version of the attraction. To be honest, I'd like to have the version that was running just prior to this because it's the show I remember, grew up with, and loved. Speaking of versions....I wonder which Tiki show made it on...the original, including Offenbach...or the edited current show. Or, for that matter, I'd like to know what the tracks for Indiana Jones Adventure and Star Tours are like. I hope they are ride-thrus rather than the mostly underscore tracks that appear on the Official Albums since I have those already. I'd like to have more of the sound effects and source dialog from those attractions. So many questions answered with the tracklist...and now so many more questions! I'm so excited about the set I'm about to burst. Three weeks is too long to wait!

Will the "Main Street Electrical Parade" track have the same mono version of Baroque Hoedown that we've heard on all the OA's or will we finally hear it the way iit's heard in the park (ala DLP releases)

I saw a lot of questions that I can answer:
-Yes, the Tiki Room will contain Offenbach!
-The Lincoln show is the 1965 version.
-Yes, the Snow White material is not there thanks to the Bourne Co.
-The Star Tours & Indy soundtracks are the scores.
-I don't remember what exactly is on the Splash Mountain ride-thru, but I do know that it is longer than the one he made before. I beleive this includes a certain music piece that was not used in the end. I'll leave it as a surprise...
-To include the new parades would have been too cost-prohibiting. I think Randy wanted to include all the classic attraction music first. The problem with the parades is that they usually use Disney animation music. The box set concentrates on DisneyLAND. Not sure what the future might bring, but you never know... I'm sure Randy must be exausted from all the overtime producing all these great sets.

I'm looking forward to this box set!!!!

Wow, I was completely BLOWN AWAY reading this track listing!

Basically it's everything I could have hoped for, presented in the exact way I would have done so - the music arranged by "land" as if you are taking a tour of the park!

Normally I like chronological sequencing such as in a film soundtrack or compilation (like 75 Years), but in this case I feel that presenting the material geographically by land is definately the best way to make it feel like you are taking a tour of the park!

This is done EXACTLY how I was hoping it would be!!!

And the best thing is, this Disneyland that we'll be touring will be the IDEAL Disneyland, the DL of my dreams, in which classic attractions that have been removed are STILL THERE and can be experienced on the same visit as the ones that replaced them!

Critter Country will have both CBJ AND Pooh!

Tomorrowland will have ATIS AND Star Tours, Carousel of Progress AND America Sings, etc.!!!

As a big fan of the AA musical revues, I am extremely happy that every AA musical revue in the history of DL will be included as complete soundtracks - Tiki Room, America Sings, and ALL THREE CBJ shows. It almost seems too good to be true!

And the selection from Fantasyland (my favorite "land") is the best that's ever been available - there is carousel music and finally most of the dark rides will be making an appearance. And of course, the IASW ride through!

Almost every attraction is included, even sounds from things like the Horse Drawn Carriages and Autopia, so those attractions can be represented as what you would experience on a day at Disneyland!

And a nice taste of background music and the performing groups is included, which will provide context and a sense of location...

Then, when your day and night at the park appears to be over after the fireworks, we are treated to an "encore" of sorts as apparently the park operations have been extended past the original closing time and we are magically transported to Christmas season and CBJ, IASW, and HM for the Holidays!

And then to cap off a perfect evening at the park, MSEP and Fantasmic!

I cannot wait to get this! If will be the perfect thing to listen to on an upcoming planned WDW trip, as it will last for almost the complete drive!!!

Agh! I get busy with work and school and have no time to check the boards, and you finally post the list! :D I'm amazed by the amount of great material you've put onto this set. You've definitely sold another copy right here! May 3 will see me on a mad scramble to DL to pick up a copy! *bows* I am not worthy! ;)

The LE of 5000 means that only 5000 copies of teh 6CD set will include the Gold Record. But the 6CD set itself is an open edition.

Yes CBJ is in Stereo

But as I stated in your Walt Disney World 2 Disc thread, it appears so much of the sets you have made have already been availble from past platforms and new ones such as DLF/WDWF and WM or OA's. My question for this Disneyland Box is whats really new in the form of these tracks which have already been released before.

Are the same ones from the system, re-mastered again? Or are they just being re-used again because they were readily available?

Aside from my question, I still cannot wait to get my hands on all the upcoming albums for my collection. Thank your for your tremendous efforts. :D

This stuff is not going to be the same tracks that were availible on the DL Forever system. Everything seems to have been done especially for this set (with a few exceptions, I'm sure...like the Disneyland band, Rod Miller, etc. tracks). If it's a ride-thru, flow-thru, or attraction medley, I'd be willing to bet it's something we have not heard before on previous releases.

I had the same question when I first saw that, but then realized that it probably means that it's the first version of the overlay. It's changed over the years it's been installed, so my guess would be we're getting the first year's version.

Speaking of that, my other guess, by some of the answers to questions about tracks, is that when given the choice, Randy chose the original version of attractions to represent here, is that right? Like "Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln", "America the Beautiful", and "The Enchanted Tiki Room". Am I right about that Randy, or Louis?

WOW...look at the views to this posting....there's half the available LE of the 5000 set :D

This set is going to be fantastic.....im sure all the tracks will be stereo wherever Randy could get a hold of stereo masters...can't wait to finally hear a clean stereo CBJ ( its horriffic in mono) Im realizing that with this release of 6dcs of park music..... my personal collection is going to require me to start a mini book for all the versions/mixes of everything i have. Remember Haunted Mansion and Pirates already have their own cds (and with LE tracks) ALL the stuff that was available on the Disneyland and WDW forever systems (thats where the tiki room tracks have been previously)Official Park Albums and now these new mixes and new tracks....omg im going to be busy organizing my library !
And as time goes on...im sure more stuff even YET will see a light of day release...i KNOW somewhere there HAS to be a great recording of the Golden Horsehoe Jamboree show :D
