I think Wilkins is misremembering the length of the exterior bgm loop, which as we all know runs about 15 minutes.

I assume this information came from Wilkins... its good to have all of this sorted out for the first time. I would love to have more information on John Debney's contributions to EPCOT during the early years.

I am all about memorable score.  The odds of me listening to a song in my car are about zero.

Its amusing how people's intial reactions to a new score will often be negative, and then as the years go on, they will become attached to it. Mark my words, when Spaceship Earth is overhauled again in 2013, these same complainers will bemoan the replacement of Broughton's score with something...

I, for one, am happy that there is no "Tomorrow's Child." I enjoy the original version of the song, but look forward to an entirely new take on scoring Spaceship Earth. Besides, if the song was included, then that's all we would ever get to hear on an official album. Thanks for the scoop, wdwguy!

Fascinating reuse of one of Conti's worst scores! It sounds like additional percussion effects have been added to the original soundtrack recording -- I don't remember all those tinkling bells.

Bill, I do enjoy the music from ENCHANTED, but I agree that it isn't on a par with Menken's best work. It took a few listens for it to sink in.

Suggestion -- change the title on this thread to LACK OF Disneyland Holiday CD 2007

Terribly sad news. I can't believe David Mumford and Bruce Gordon are now both gone. Disneyland: The Nickel Tour has always been my favorite park history book.

This book is on my Christmas wishlist... I have been looking forward to it. It is certainly true that Walt Disney World hasn't been given the same scholarly attention as Disneyland. Of course, it is newer, but deserving of serious treatment.

Exactly. Years ago, Disney licensed several soundtrack titles to Intrada (for instance, McNeely's IRON WILL), but then pulled the plug. Intrada has done an outstanding job preserving, restoring, and releasing classic scores in limited editions ranging from 1000 to 3000 units. I understand...
