The Official Albums for 2008!

...until someone starts a 09 or 10 OA thread.

I have already listened to WDW's 2009 Official Album. All four CDs worth! The 40 or so new tracks are amazing! Thanks, Randy!

I would love to share with everyone else, but I had the CDs in my car, and it was stolen last night by a pack of wandering Gypsys, Tramps & Thieves.

My car will be replaced by insurance, thank goodness, but what really sucks is that I also had sneak copies of Randy's newly remastered CDs of Marni Nixon's 10 Songs from Walt Disney's Mary Poppins and Walt Disney Presents the Story of Hansel and Gretel in my car! Darn it!

This may seem like a dumb question but is the CTX music that is on the OA still currently used in the Dinosaur attraction? I honestly have never been on it before.

It is still played in the interior queue.

The exterior music loop is now an edit of tracks from the Dinosaur soundtrack. I can't seem to find anyone who can confirm whether the interior loop is the same as what played outside before the Dinosaur soundtrack was installed (when the ride switched from CTX).

Gah. Still nothing. Waited for World of Disney to open and checked but not there. The 4 copies of Remember the Moments that they've had left have been shoved into a corner behind Fantasmic cds and the 2006 WDW cds still have their own rack but no new OA. The leads are still saying they haven't heard anything and nothing's been received yet. I figured I'd go to the main street music shop anyways since I was there and it's within a couple hundred feet(plus I hadn't finished my jamba yet* =o) ), and still nothing there either though apparently I was the 3rd person to ask that morning(I frequently have gotten the "you're the Xth person to ask today" response).

I did get a free jamba juice out of it though. They were having some promotion for their new breakfast smoothies and a 21-day breakfast challenge or some such. Whatever they say =D Free smoothie =D

But this means nothing until next Tuesday at the least most likely since it's always a Tuesday thing :/ Meanwhile I've already received my copy of wdw's in the mail and have been listening to it. Sheesh =P

I was a little pessimistic at seeing the new DL album soon since there were easily 3 or 4 dozen copies of each version of the old album on display in the Music Shop. I remember checking Disneyana once for the new issue of ETicket Magazine, which I knew had been out for several weeks already and still was onlly finding the previous issue. When I finally asked, a CM checked into it and was told by the warehouse that they didn't bring the knew one because the old one still had such large quantities onstage. I hope this doesn't happen with the new OA.

they didn't bring the knew [sic] one because the old one still had such large quantities onstage.

If it makes you feel any better, I can tell you that the end cap display at WDW's World of Disney store has several rows of the 2006 CD sitting right next to several rows of the 2008 CD. Likewise, there are an equal number of both CDs on display in the normal hiding spot just above the floor.

EDIT: I was at the Tragic Kingdom on Saturday, in a downpour, and I did not see the CD anywhere. It looks like World of Disney is it for now.

a friend of mine at WDW says downtown disney didn't have any when he went this past week. weird.

WoD at Disneyland doesn't really have rows of anything, and like i said they're down to the nitty gritty on 2006 disneyland OAs at least with what's displayed publically. Main Street Music store still has a bunch and they've had them all at the main entrance now rather than with the rest of the cds. It doesn't seem like it's so much that they'd hold off to try and sell some more though.

I am there every day and the CD has been stocked in both locations I mentioned since it first appeared on April 1. The normal spot for CDs has 5-6 copies at most, and sometimes 0, but the end cap display has never run dry.

Hi everyone.

I was just wondering if there is anywhere I can buy this cd because I'm in Toronto and it is kind of hard to get from up here haha. Price is not really an issue although I would love to hear it I've been dying to hear it! :D

If anyone can help me out let me know!

Are you referring to the Disneyland CD or the Walt Disney World CD?

If you're referring to the Disneyland CD, only jerm has a copy, and it's in his car.

If you're referring to the Walt Disney World CD, you can call WDW Mail Order at 407-363-6200 (although I hear international shipping charges go well beyond the $10 they want for domestic shipping) or look for a copy on eBay. Try searching for "Four Parks One World" or click >here< for an eBay seller with current listings.

I called Disneyland Delivears today and basically had the same kind of reaction people have been getting here. Nobody there seems to know anything. He called 20th Century Music, or whatever it's called now, and they knew nothing of a new OA, or even that one might be coming.

Oh, and Almandot, that picture you took of the Disneyland CD's...Fantasmic in the front. What is with that sticker on it that says "As Recorded in 1997"? Is this just some mis-labled thing, or did Disneyland actually update the Fantasmic recording on that CD? Inquiring minds want to know! Unless....they stuck the sticker from the MGM Studios version of the show on the Disneyland CD....then that would just be...stupid...

dunno but it's sure been there.. did the cd get released in 92 with the show's premiere? 97 would be when EP had gone and it's included on the fant cd did they release it around then?

Maybe it's meant for the wdw one and disney's marketing is ignorant ;)

here's one unwrapped but my scanner's not so great

That has to be one of the best things I have read all day long. Tonight when I get home I will have a picture of it and I will type of the track listing and all of that for you.
