Park Composer Credits

Got any others worth noting? Here's a couple more...

Don L. Harper
Fantasmic! (TDS, after Bruce Healey)
Believe in Holiday Magic
Dick Tracy: Diamond Double-Cross (original song; arrangements)

Anyone got any others from Don Harper?

Didn't he also arrange / adapt the original "Believe... There's Magic in the Stars" fireworks show?

A further question about "Believe... There's Magic in the Stars": WHO composed the music / wrote the lyrics for the theme song? (The darn 2000 Disneyland album gives a mile-long list of credits to this fireworks suite, but does not indicate the composer nor the lyricist of the theme song). Furthermore, what's the official name of that theme song? "Believe"? "Magic in the Stars"? Or the complete title of the song?

I would also like to know if Fantasmic's original theme song (by Healey & Ricci) has a name? Surely it's not just "Main Theme 1 & 2"?

I was recently at Tokyo Disney Resort for the first time in my life and brought home several wonderful CDs. One of the most bizarre things I noticed is that while the American Disney theme park CDs credit only John Williams as the composer of "Indiana Jones Adventure" and "Star Tours", the Japanese CDs don't mention Williams but give complete credit ("composed and conducted") to Richard Bellis. Similarly, George Wilkins Bellis is credited as the sole composer of Tokyo DisneySea's "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea", even though the music includes Paul J. Smith's easily recognizable main theme from the 1954 movie...

In each case, I can't understand why album producers still tease us, who appreciate ALL the people behind the wonderful theme park music.

PS. Yes, after some 8-9 years, I finally decided to become active at this forum, too. I'm currently doing a TOO-extensive Disney attraction update to my website's Finnish pages - and thus also the musical details of the attractions and shows started again bugging me...

EDIT - PS2. Bugs me also that I didn't buy THAT DisneySea compilation which included music for TOT. Only after my trip I found out that the quite atmospheric Tokyo TOT music was by Joel McNeely, one of my favourites. Aaaaaarghh, I want to go back to Tokyo just to be able to buy that compilation - since I can't find it through Amazon...

In case you weren't aware, Ken, McNeely kindly uploaded a track from his ToT score at his website:

There are a few other Disney theme park tracks up there as well, thanks to some gentle prodding of McNeely by [member=Dr. Know].

Yes, I am aware of that - but call me old-fashioned; I want it on CD. :D

There's a little error in my previous post, but for some reason I can't edit it anymore: It was naturally Richard Bellis who composed/adapted the score for Tokyo DisneySea's "20,000 Leagues" (not George Wilkins).

Nice to have something like that to listen to. Thanks for the link, I wasn't aware of it (and I don't ride ToT).
Ken, the ability to edit posts is very short now - to prevent people deleting their posts at a later time for whatever reason  (it happened and we lost a lot). I think it's an hour or so only.
Jay can edit then, I think, if it's a BIG boo-boo. Just send a PM and ask.

Now, how about this guy?

Bob Moline (singer-songwriter)
Universe of Energy ("Energy, You Make The World Go Round")
O Canada ("You're a Lifetime Journey"); orchestrations by Buddy Baker, then (apparently) Bruce Broughton or Foster/Lubbock
The American Adventure ("Golden Dreams"); orchestrations by Buddy Baker/George Wilkins
The Land ("Listen To the Land")
Dreamflight ("Dreamflight"); orchestrations by Edo Guidotti
Disneyland ads ("It Could Only Happen at Disneyland")

I recently found out who did the actual Epcot Entrance loop. The name "Woods" is misspelled in the official album, actually it is Steve Wood who is credited (on ASCAP) with Daniel May for writing "Legacy"... He also states on his website having written music for Epcot, sadly he provides no samples... Wood and May have written some music for Imax films...
