Ordering "A Musical History of Disneyland"

I went to the park today and was able to pick up a copy of this set. Beautiful work, Randy. The CM I talked to at the 20th Century Music Shop said they were selling well and that they only had a few hundred left! Yikes - and it's not even the 5th yet.
The CM also asked how many I wanted, which caught me off guard. I would have thought that such a limited number (considering the number of people who go the park on a daily basis) would be limited to one per customer. Oh well, you better get them while you can!

Well, now I'm getting concerned. I'm going to the park near the end of next week...May 12th or so...and was hoping to get the set and the new 2 CD Official Album at that time. I don't really care one way or another about the vinyl. I'm a music collector with a very sizable cd collection, but the vinyl would be a just a show piece...nice, but with no real use to me. Here's my point: It sounds like there's going to be a gap between the Limited Edition with the gold vinyl and the Special Edition with the black vinyl. With people speculating that Disneyland's portion of the 5,000 sets could be gone this week...and the genuine surprise that Randy spoke of at Disney Records about the demand for the set in his post last week, I'm guessing I could be out of luck next week at the park. The gold vinyl set sold out and the black vinyl set at manufacturing and me with no cd's which is what I'm really clamoring for. So...is there anyone out there than can speak definitively about the stock and the potential of the above situation happening? I'm SO looking forward to handling, listening, reading...etc to the set. I'm not so looking forward to a crushing disappointment.

The two-disc sets are available at the parks now. I picked my copy up on Sunday, at DCA. That may be where the seller picked up their copy.
For anyone still looking for the LE with gold vinyl who won't be buying it in person at the parks, I just ordered one through Disneyland Delivears with no problem!
I think they just started taking orders today.
They said it would ship Monday and that I should have it by the end of next week!

After some big screwups from DHL here in The Netherlands I 'finally' received my copy of the box. I got number #1317 and everything arrived in mint condition! No scratches on the CD's, just some 'production dust'. Thanks Randy! It looks great! I'm going to listen to it tonight!

The person I spoke with at Delivears, at about 8:10 AM Pacific Time (I began calling right before they opened at
8 AM), said it would ship Monday and I should have it by the end of next week. If Delivears is shipping now, that's even better! What time approximately did you call?
Oh well, regardless of when they ship it to me, I'm so happy to be getting the gold vinyl but most of all I'm happy just to be getting the set!

I called about 6 pm tonight central time. I am sure she told me it would ship out now and be here by Monday. She told me it would go out in 3 day shipping. I won't hold by breath for Monday, but next week is better than what DisneyDirect can do.

Man, the Internet's a crazy beast. I finally received my set today ordered from Disney Direct exactly a week ago. But now having read that sets are easily available for the time being from Disney Delivears and had I not jumped so impulsively to order after reading last week's feeding frenzy, I probably would've been fine waiting like I had wanted to and avoided the drama and anxiety that these forum boards generated. I may even still see them at the park when I go this week. Gratefully, in my case, I have my set, which is 3498, and under 5000, a second anxiety erased.
Here's hoping there's more good news than heartbroken news posted here over the next few days.

I'm getting a little impatient with the USPS. Mine was delivered by DHL to the local post office on 4/29, and it has yet to get here. I don't care for Disney Direct's shipping method, but what can one do?

Mouse Planet is reporting that there was a huge line today to buy the set, but that it is sold out at the park. I wonder if this means that all the 3000 for DL are gone or if it was just a certain amount set aside for the day? I would think they would put them all out if they could sell them all.
