    searching for album name

The only march that I can think of in Peter Pan is "Following the Leader(Tee Dum, Tee Dee)", which seems to have a march tempo to it. Interestingly, Tiger Lilly's March seems very familiar to me. I might have to do some checking myself.

"'Twas the Night Before Christmas" Soundtrack on Disneyland Records

Does anybody know if these albums were direct film to record soundtracks or if there was narration added or other in the studio material recorded specifically for the albums?

Walt Disney Records "Archive Collection" Volumes 1 & 2

gurgi, In response to your question, there are other tracks that have never been digitally released before. These are the tracks that as far as I know had not been released previously in the digital format: #1 The Ballad of Davy Crockett - Wellingtons #3 Hey, Cubby Boy! #7 Little April...

Wish List For Disney Archives on iTunes

Merlinjones, I like your list a lot! A couple of questions about a few of your selections, just because I'm such a stickler for details: -- Mickey Mouse Club Official Album - are you referring to the Musical Highlights from the Mickey Mouse Club album? -- Songs from Perri -- are you...

    Ludwig von Drake

I guess what it breaks down to for me is: given that the Disney company is probably not going to release most of these titles because there is not a big enough "market" for them, is it better to have the recordings available, even if the format is not ideal, or to not have access to them at all...

    Convention Videos?

This exhibit looks awesome. I think I read that it will be going to different cities after it closes in Seattle. I hope that's true. The website is not too extensive but it seems to provide a good overview. I found it odd, however, that it states that Disney was founded in 1928. The first Mickey...

I agree completely with Jestyr's comments. Just my two cents.

    Can You Name This LP?

Mr. Hollis, I'll accept that mission. I'm always happy to help. Of course I have already read MOUSE TRACKS. I think I preordered it a year ago! I have been waiting for a book like yours for years. I wasn't too hopeful that the Disney company would release such a book. I was very pleased with it...

    Can You Name This LP?

Bill, I'm a new release, not a rerelease. I had been monitoring this board for some time but registered only fairly recently. I have been a Disney music collector for many years and I have a fairly decent sized collection, vinyl and CD's, mostly the former. Of course I also read and save any...

A Short Film About How Records Are Made

I think "SS-BR" meant Sunset Sound, where most of the Disney Records were made, and the BR was the name of the engineer, like Bruce Botnick or somebody.

    Can You Name This LP?

Well, it sounds like an LP from Golden Records. All the songs you mentioned were released on Golden Records in the 1950's, including the Frontierland and Tomorrowland songs, and Cliff Edwards as Jiminy Cricket did narrate on some of these songs when they were released as a box set in 1955. My...

    "Remember the Vinyl"

This is a great idea for a website! Good job. I'm also looking forward to further additions to it. One thing though: the 45 rpm records are running too slow. :-[ You might want to check the speed setting on your turntable and make sure it's properly calibrated. There are devices you can buy...

    New Pirates attraction soundtrack

So basically the only remaining dialogue from the wonderful voice work of Paul Frees is the Auctioneer. Not going to make Paul Frees fans happy. I'm with those hoping these are just temporary changes while the movies are currently popular and that they will eventually bring back the original...
