    Wlat Disney's Song Parade

Very nice. This record was actually released in 1957. The movies "Johnny Tremain" and "Perri", both of which are included here, were released in 1957.

    Happiest Millionaire Roadshow DVD

I watched them back to back a few months ago and it's the same version. Btw, where in Disneyland is the Fortuosity shop?

The Yachtsmen are not in the "Disneyland After Dark" special. I think they appeared in some local Los Angeles shows that were taped at Disneyland in the early 60's, the same shows that the Osmond Brothers appeared on. I may be wrong but I seem to remember reading something about that.

Perri - A Story with Songs

This movie has been released on DVD. It was released on the "Walt Disney Legacy Collection" series a few years ago, the series that contained all of the True Life Adventure Series films. Perri was the only "True Life Fantasy" film ever released, although I think the company intended to make...

    Sleeping Beauty Album on iTunes

Re: Oh yeah, iTunes And let's not forget the Clair Hogan versions of "I Wonder" and "Sing a Smiling Song" (Vista F-333 single)!

Sleeping Beauty on Little Golden Records

I think you might be reading a little too much into the selection process of these records. These Little Golden Record titles are basically the songs that were in the film: "Hail to Princess Aurora", "I Wonder", "Once Upon a Dream", "Skumps(the Drinking Song)", "Sleeping Beauty", and "Sing a...

Sleeping Beauty on Little Golden Records

No problems. It works fine for me. BTW, the timing for all these "Sleeping Beauty" recordings is very appropriate. They are releasing a new DVD of the film later this year to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the film in 2009 and will be reopening the new Sleeping Beauty Castle Walkthrough...

I really like the new player. Very easy to use, works well. It's very similar to the "Make Mine Music Radio" player that you have on the site. Thanks for sharing these albums with us. Some I already own, but some I don't.

makeminemusic, Are you saying that the Darlene narrated version of ST-3909 is available on iTunes? I know that WDL-4015 is available, which contains the songs and music, but I was not aware that the Storyteller version was on there also.

Although on the cover it states that Darlene is telling the story on this record this is actually the second version of ST-3909, which has Ginny Tyler telling the story (although Darlene still sings on the album). I guess they had more covers than records and used some of the old covers with the...

Lyric Question ~ Sherman Brothers' Song ~ Disneyland USA

Here's what it sounds like to me: "Here in Frontierland, young and old cowhands see the wild and woolly west at its rootin', shootin' best."

Mouse Tracks: The Story of Walt Disney Records

Re: Mouse Tracks The Story Off Walt Disney Records Many of the artists did sign their names. For example, X. Atencio, Paul Wenzel, Art Riley, Peter Ellenshaw, Harry Wysocki, Neil Boyle, Al Dempster. I see their names on the albums all the time. Mary Blair signed her name to the "It's a Small...

Re: Itunes Wish List - Soundtracks/ Vintage Disneyland LP's I would like to see the rest of the Frances Archer and Beverly Gile albums released on iTunes: Folk Songs from the Far Corners Community Concert The Story of California 21 Short Stories for Little People Up, Down, All Around: 24 More...

    iTunes Wish List - Soundtracks/Vintage Disneyland LP's

Re: Itunes Wish List - Soundtracks/ Vintage Disneyland LP's Marni Nixon was the voice of the three geese in the song. I'm not sure who did the voice of the cow. Thurl Ravenscroft was the pig, and I think Bill Lee sang for one of the animals as well.

    MSEP LP

Just a minor correction: the 1973 picture disc was entitled "Disneyland Main Street Electrical Parade" not "Disney's Main Street Electrical Parade". Since Walt Disney World had their Electrical Water Pageant thing going on I believe the Main Street Electrical Parade was only taking place at...

Re: "Westward Ho, the Wagons!" soundtrack

I recently purchased the "Westward Ho, the Wagons!" soundtrack album from iTunes. It sounds great. However I did notice an error in the track listings. Side One of the album, Tracks 1 to 7, contain excerpts from the film soundtrack itself, conducted by George Bruns, while Camarata conducted the...

A History of the Official Album

YellowRainbowFan76, Once again I have the pleasure of translating Bill's humor to those less ironically inclined. When someone says "What am I, chopped liver?", it basically means that the person saying it is being ignored or discounted in the discussions, or whose opinions or contributions...

The Wonderful World of David Oneal

Re: Dave O'Neal's New Book Just so I'm clear, nobody on this board has a problem with Mr. O'Neal selling documentary videos of Disneyland attractions, bios of Imagineers and such; it's just the selling of old TV shows and audio files that Disney has the copyright on, is that correct? If he...

    Tenor - Peace on Earth?

Yeah, it always sounded like Donald Novis to me too. But it also sounds like Bill Days. It's interesting how they sound so much alike. A lot of the tenors from that time period (40's, 50's) sound very much alike, however. It makes you wonder why Donald Novis wasn't used on the Peace on Earth...
