Dr. Know,

You'll be happy to know that I included the 'load' music on the track. Starts off with the instrumental 'load' cue, then transitions into the song.

Randy

Randy,

Wow! I know no one on here will ever be fully happy with either DL or WDW OA's but I have to say what you added is great! Thank you for everything and I can't wait till April to get those!

Great news! The one that I'm the most excited about is the Seas with Nemo and Friends track. I really like "Big Blue World," but I greatly prefer the Seas version of the song to the (already released) Finding Nemo Musical version. It's really great to see a lot of the newer Epcot music continuing to make its way to the OA.

I also definitely see the point about Phillharmagic. It's such a visual experience, even to the detriment of the audio experience. I would love to have the final cue of the show, though, with the last bit of Mickey Mouse March, and Donald being shot out of the Tuba. Imagine that in binaural ;D .

Thanks for what "sounds" to be a great album.

yes i agree with the capt. i would also like to get the mickey mouse march music at the end as well as the disney themes montage orchestra warm up music up until be our guest from mickey's philharmagic. i did an edit of the rest of the music using the soundtrack releases tracks although there is still some music missing from be our guest and such...

This is my opinion:

As a fan who collects all types of Disney park audio, I like to hear an attraction's soundtrack all the way through, awkward or not. To me, it doesn't sound weird, I don't care if each piece doesn't fit with the next... if that's how it is on the attraction, that's how I'd like to hear it.

Let's take Alien Encounter's main show. If I want to listen to ten minutes of fake screams and sound effects, then so be it. That's how the show is, and that's how I like to hear it.

That's my two dollars and fifty cents. ;)

This year's album looks like a real crowd pleaser though. 8)

Hey Randy, while we're on the topic of theme park music. who is this "Woods" composer, who did the music for the epcot entrance loop? does this "Woods" person have a first name? also, are any more epcot entrance loop tracks planned for release on the next official album, whenever that is!?

Wow Randy! Great job. I think you put just about everything I (realistically) wanted on this album. I'm especially happy about the Canada overture (I can always skip over the song), and the full Spaceship Earth score (My Bruce Broughton Fan club tshirt is hanging right next to my Starfleet Uniform deep in the back of my closet).

Home Run Randy!

WOW!!

All that is left to say is: THANKS A LOT!! These two are going to be two great OAs! This sure is a great mix of new tracks that will also appeal to the regular "once in a lifetime" guest visiting the resorts and looking for a musical souvenir.

There is one surprise though, a track I had expected that we might see an update for, which now didn't appear: "Golden Dream". As far as I understood the recording was "updated" with the latest small chanegs to the attraction. Well, maybe next time ;-)

Yours

Dirk

P.S.: if you got a bit bored by all the WDW and DL stuff in the meantime - why not pushing for DLRP or HKDL again? Both resorts desperately need their own "Official Album". Unfortunately, as far as I remember, DLRP wasn't interested in letting you / WDR do such a project ... but maybe they are more willing in the meantime??

Edit: Oh no and I just realized that means no song version of three caballeros. The version in the finale with the singing is my favorite part! :eek:X

Personally, I think they're going to include the singing.

Maybe Randy can answer your question.

Yeah, I'd assume that singing would still fall under the umbrella of "just music." Keep in mind that It's a Small World, Grim Grinning Ghosts and Yo-Ho, among others, all include the lyrics of the songs as sung in the attraction. However, the Haunted Mansion track doesn't include the Ghost Host narration (except, I think, for the foyer narration), in favor of the music only.

Ok then, I'll say it, I want CDs from DLRP and HKDL!!!!!! I haven't been to either and I haven't really been following the HKDL musical scene (been too busy/overloaded with my own collection and Rodentsections . . .oh bless Rodentsections)

So here is my offical vote for an updated DLRP OA and any HKDL music! ;D

Actually, there was no way I could keep Jose, Pancho, and Donald off the album. They're very pushy little fellows. You try silencing Donald Duck!

Randy

I had asked about "Golden Dream". But WDI said the the changes weren't significant enough to warrant a change to the album version. Evidently, the musical alterations were minor instrumental transitions.

I hear rumblings of a new Official Album (or a real Official Album) for Paris. It doesn't look like I will be involved, but I offered my services if I can help in any way. It's possible that Hong Kong may also be in line for an album. But this is nothing more that idle chatter until I see or hear anything more substantial.

hi randy! i liked that, good one! "Actually, there was no way I could keep Jose, Pancho, and Donald off the album. They're very pushy little fellows. You try silencing Donald Duck!"

have you tried a cannon? like in disneyland's first 50 magical years film? hehe

that is a shame about "golden dream" as several elements are omitted from the cd release:

trumpet
tinker bell wand strike
trumpet
drum beat
landing whine eeeeeeee
trumpet at end
and endng sparkling and the edited piece for the new 9/11 segment

Here's the best answers I can give you, WDWGuy -

1. Unfortunately, I do not know.
2. Oh, uh...... Nope, don't know that either.
3. Ahh c'mon, you know I don't discuss future projects.

Sorry. I'm of no help on these.

Randy
