King David Menken and Rice

I just recently discovered a musical by Alan Menken and Tim Rice called ?King David.? I was shocked to find out that Disney Produced it. I wonder what ever happened to it. The recording is extremely hard to find. If anyone knows any information on this musical I would love to know more about it.
