There's a loop that plays before Beauty and the Beast that uses a lot of show tunes. You'd better get cracking on that one.

thanks for the update wedroy, i love this loop!

here's what I had in my notes but I don't know how accurate they are:

14. When You Wish Upon a Star
- Arthur Fiedler & the Boston Pops, [?]
Album: Motion Picture Classics: Vol. 2

19. Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah
- Arthur Fiedler & the Boston Pops, [?]
Album: Stars and Stripes: An American Concert
Yeah, you can get the correct track from both of those albums. I guess the reason I'd held off in posting album source information is that I keep hoping I will track down an actual source circa. 1989 when the loop was installed. For example, I believe the Stars and Stripes album is a re-packaging of material. Another example would be some of the Mantovani material, which has been packaged and re-packaged over and over.

Fiedler has indeed been repackaged repeatedly over his very long and illustrious career. I don't have a reference recording handy, but it is it possible that "Zip" originated on Fiedler's "Salute to Disney" album? It's a reasonably old collection. I know it was on vinyl, at least.

Has there been any more progress on this loop? On the last count, there was six left to find source CDs/LPs for.

Wedroy1923: Did you ever find confirmation as to whether a previous loop played in this area? I don't think there was, but I have no proof to back it up.

Sadly, we still stand at six unknown sources. I have found no evidence of a previous loop ever being used.

FYI, Soundhound has identified the Ferrante & Teicher source as Blast Off! and the source of Gigi as Paul Weston & His Orchestra (TBC).

To confirm, Gigi is as identified (Mantovani). I'm not sure why Soundhound identified the track as Gigi by Paul Weston as it's nothing like the loop track ... maybe coincidence?

On Arthur Fiedler's Stars and Stripes, in addition to "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah" is "When You Wish Upon a Star". Is this a different version from the track on Motion Picture Classics Vol 2?

I thinks you can't find "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah" in "Motion Picture Classics Vol 2" ;)

They are both on Stars and Stripes. I was just wondering if anyone knew if "When You Wish Upon a Star" was the same version that was on "Motion Picture Classics Vol 2". Many compliations are just repackaged with a different selection.
