    Mary Poppins Deluxe Soundtrack

One thing I haven't heard mentioned in this thread: When is it coming out? Last I heard it was supposed to be released in August. Well, it's now September, and I haven't seen hyde nor hair of it.... How much longer???? GG

    Your Holy Grail?

On an obvious note, all the original recording sessions for the Haunted Mansion. I've got several, but not all of them... Next, I would love to have all the isolated loops from the Enchanted Tiki Room, or the original recording sessions. Ditto for Small World, Carousel of Progress, Pirates...

    the miceage.com cds?

The Brubaker original didn't have the horse. I forgot about it until it was just brought up. I never really liked the "official" version all that much, so I haven't listened to it in well over a year. Glad to hear that the ghost horse was indeed in use at one time. GG

    the miceage.com cds?

I've never heard the horse, but then I've never been to the one in DL. I'm told it was used around the time that the CD was produced, but it never appears on any of the numerous home videos that I use for reference, even those from that time period. Hard to say what Legal would give Randy...

    the miceage.com cds?

X-S Tech, You've got it nearly right; It was already made (from the ride's actual audio loops), and so it cost them next to nothing. The other problem is Disney legal. They won't let just anyone root around in their vaults, not even Disney employees without all sorts of clearances, and it's...

    the miceage.com cds?

Sharon, I did these CDs because I could do a better job than Disney, and just felt like sharing them with those who might appreciate it. This sort of thing has been going on for decades amongst die-hard Disney collectors. The main difference is in how they are exchanged between collectors...

    the miceage.com cds?

I've done all the work on those "Unauthorized" CDs because what Disney has officially released was either crap, or incomplete or both. I created them primarily for myself, and I simply chose to share them with the Disney audio collecting community. I have never, nor will I ever attempt to sell...

Yes, I cleaned up the one that leaked out. Your Small World cover is very much (almost exactly) the way I intended to do it, only I couldn't find a good scan of the children in the boat artwork. GG

    Current WDW Carousel of Progress

Actually, I was referring to the script. I dunno, there's just something about the original that keeps me coming back to listen to it over and over again. I rarely ever listen to the other two versions, they just can't compare in terms of the quality of the show. They simply lack Walt's...
  12. Grinning Ghost

    Current WDW Carousel of Progress

Okay, the original version is downright corny, but I still like it better than anything since. I was fortunate enough to see it in 1978, and so the first three scenes were essentially the original 1964 version, with only some minor dialog changes here and there. Unfortunately, the fourth scene...

    OT: World's Fair 1964 photos

I'm sorry - I didn't mean to imply that the artwork didn't exist, only that it has never appeared anywhere, and there wasn't much info to go on, not even the title. The original poster didn't have any additional info on the set either, only that it was unreleased, and nothing else was known...

Re:Disneyland Goes To The World's Fair How exactly does it "attest to the fact" if the booklet has never shown up anywhere? Just where can one view the "prepared" artwork? I always imagined that some artwork/booklets had been created, but no one that I know has ever seen them, so a few of us...

Mary Poppins 40th Anniversary Edition DVD

Gads! 40th Anniversary already? Where did the years go... I just now found my Super8 Sound home movie (called "The Super Nanny") that contains the Spoonful of Sugar sequence. I can't believe it's been more than twenty years ago that I bought that one, and it only runs about 8 minutes. Now...
  16. Grinning Ghost

    Current WDW Carousel of Progress

The current show lacks the charm of the original 1964 verision. The script is clumsy, the acting bad, and the music arrangements can't compare to the original version. All of the style and charm of the original is just - gone... I shudder to think of the 80s version, "Now is the Time". That...

Slightly OT: Turntable for Disney Records

Just go to eBay or a thrift store and get yourself a turntable with a magnetic cartridge and that has at least 3 speeds. Dual made these kinds of turntables in the 1960s and 1970s. You can buy a new cartridge that accepts a both an Lp and 78 r.p.m. stylus if you need to. Several manufacturers...

    Haunted Mansion Holiday Bootleg

Update: the two you mention are fan-made compilations of the bootleg tracks. The longer one (13:50) only contains portions of the Ghost Host narration recorded directly from the Doombuggies' speakers, but not all of it. Some segments are out of order as well. GG
