WWoD Theme

Hey everyone! Long-time lurker here. I just ordered the "75 Years" and "Legacy In Song" box sets off of Amazon to fill in some holes in my Disney music collection, and I had a quick question, and I knew you guys would be the ones to ask.

So, the "Legacy In Song" boxed set includes the Wellingtons' "Wonderful World of Color" theme, which I am very familiar with. The set also includes the "Wonderful World of Disney" theme, though. Does anyone know which version this is? Is it the opening that showed clips of various Disney films and included the lyrics, "welcome to Disney's wonderful world!"?

Just curious. Thanks for your help all!

Wow, thanks for your help! I'll have to search through my anthology series tapes/DVD extras and get reacquainted with that, I'm having a hard time remembering it. Thanks again!

The instrumental WWoD theme/medley found on that box set is from the late 60's incarnation - - there is another one from the early 70's that hasn't been on CD yet.

The best version is not on the Disney label, but on Television's Greatest Hits Volume Four, which features a crisp, lovely track of Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color theme with full lyrics (different from The Wellingtons single) from the 1967 season! A must have.

The 70s one is the one I want to hear a good clean version of because that's the one I identify with WWOD more than any other. I was frequently annoyed that reruns of WWOD from the 70s when shown on "Vault Disney" (boy does that seem like ages ago!) would substitute the 70s opening with the "Wonderful World Of Color" open.
