World Showcase

Hello:

I was wondering if anyone in the community might be able to offer clarification on a number of tracks included in the World Showcase Area Music Version 2 torrent available through Rodentsections:

1. "France - Area Music - Complete Loop (47.26)" and "France - Area Music - Live Excerpt (19.06)" appear to correspond. Has anyone confirmed if the 47.26 track is a complete loop? Is this the pavilion's interior or exterior loop?

2. Has anyone confirmed that "Italy - Area Music - Complete Loop (30.12)" is a complete loop? The track seems to be cut off at 30.12. Does anyone know if this is an interior or exterior pavilion loop?

3. Where do the "China - Area Music Version 2" tracks play in the pavilion?

4. Does anyone know if the "Japan - Area Music" tracks constitute a complete loop? Is this an interior or exterior area loop?

Any information or help is appreciated. Based on the playlists available from WDW, I am trying to identify as many of the tracks as I can from the France and Italy loops; as is usually the case, the playlists from WDW are only partially of help. A brief review of the France loop reveals that Frere Jacques, Ah! Vous Dirai-Je, Maman, and Alouette are not included among the alphabetical list provided by WDW.

Thanks,

I'm not familiar with the tracks included in the torrent, but this is what I know:

The track from France is the exterior loop and I believe it is complete. I haven't made my own recording yet, but know of one speaker that is accessible.

Based on my own recordings, the Italy loop runs 30:17 and the Japan loop runs 42:54.

Wedroy; I have these loops and am curious about your comment, "appear to correspond." The shorter of the two sounds like a low quality induction recording but I didn't seem to hear it within the greater 47'26" loop. Could you confirm?

Anyway, for what it's worth, I failed to hear this playing in the pavilion last November but suspect it was the outdoor loop at some point in time.

I'll listen to it again, but from the notes I made, the shorter live loop begins in what I believe is track four of the longer loop.

Here's how I believe the two tracks line up:

Unknown Track #5: 6.48 in 47.26 loop, 1.46 in 19.06 loop
Unknown Track #6: 7.58 in 47.26 loop, 2.49 in 19.06 loop
Unknown Track #7: 10.05 in 47.26 loop, 4.46 in 19.06 loop
Unknown Track #8: 11.00 in 47.26 loop, 5.36 in 19.06 loop
Under the Bridges of Paris: 12.25 in 47.26 loop, 6.55 in 19.06 loop
Alouette: 16.09 in 47.26 loop, 10.20 in 19.06 loop
Can-Can: 17.41 in 47.26 loop, 11.42 in 19.06 loop
Unknown Track #12: 19.38 in 47.26 loop, 13.29 in 19.06 loop
Un Homme et Une Femme: 22.59 in 47.26 loop, 16.34 in 19.06 loop

Hope this isn't too confusing. The times are all approximate. Let me know what you think. Any help is always appreciated!

I listened to these tracks again this morning, and is it just me, or does the shorter version sound sped up? The track order is the same as the longer loop, but the times don't line up. What do you all think?
