Walt Disney Records on iTunes Debut!!!

Well, it?s November 7th ? and the debut of Walt Disney Records? vintage titles on iTunes!

Every master has been, and is being transferred and restored at 24bit 96kHz sampling rate. So when the technology becomes available to download at this high resolution, we will be ready. Who knows when that will be, but patience is the key here. Still, having this higher resolution as the source master does indeed translate into a better final result even after down-sampling and conversion to the iTunes format. As a special note, always use iTunes new feature ?Gapless Play? when downloading entire albums as that negates the iTunes 2 second inserted gap between songs.

Below, you will find the list of titles I have prepared as the first wave for this on-going series. It is our plan to release every master that we still have rights to and that still exist! If you don?t see you favorite album yet, it should only be a matter of time before they appear. Our next selection of titles should debut in January!

The numbers along side of the title are the UPCs for each album. I don?t know if this will help any, but it doesn?t hurt to have more info.

This is the most promising venture for our vintage titles that I?ve ever been involved with thus far. It should only get better from here on in. Once again, the Sherman Brothers were right ? There?s a great big beautiful tomorrow!

Hmm I can't seem to find the Summer Magic Soundtrack

Thanks for doing this randy. I hope it's successful enough that it can expand nicely, I'm looking forward to more.

Almandot, why is this link where it directs to "Annette's Beach Party" where it shows "Alfred Hitchcock Presents"? That was the wrong link, can you fix it please? Thanks!

I have the "Annette's Beach Party" LP and it has no cover, just the cover, but it has lots of scratches. I'm trying to be careful playing this record. It sounded terrible with those annoying scratches. Thanks to iTunes.

Thanks for your great work, Randy! I've downloaded several of the albums and many individual tracks.

Can't wait for January! I'd sure like to see more archive collections along the lines of Vol. 1.

It's certainly a great time to be a Disney Music fan! I remember what it was like twenty years ago when all I had (beside some scratched-up LPs) were 2 cd collections of Disney classics and that first Disney Park CD. I never dreamed I'd have access to this much great music from the films and parks, with more to come. Thanks again!

This is awesome!! I can't wait till phase 2! Add some old movies like Pete's Dragon, and all the other greats. Also have you thought about some Disny Shorts (Songs) compilation. I think that would be fantastic!
