Hello:

Does anyone have information regarding the song "Walking Right Down the Middle of Main Street USA"?

Who wrote this? When was it first used?

The first time I heard it was in the Disneyland 30th Anniversary TV show - with Marie Osmond singing it. Was it used prior to this?

What recordings are available?

I first heard it on a "Sing Along" VHS - A Day at Disneyland (think that was the title).

The oldest thing I know it from is Disneyland Is Your Land which is earlier than 1980 right?

The Kids Of The Kingdom "Disneyland Is Your Land" show premiered (for Disneyland's 25th Anniversary) on the old Space Mountain in 1980. I worked in the park's Entertainment Division from 1976-1988 and had never heard "Walking Right Down the Middle of Main Street USA" prior to that show.

I LOVE this song!
from what I was told during Easter 2002 "Good Morning Main Street" rehearsals, that song made its east coast debut during the early 80's in "Walt Disney World is Your World"...which, coincedentally, also played at the Tomorrowland stage near Space Mountain.
