I checked several places and the signal strength was either the same or worse. There are two other possibilities for capturing this again. First, someone is sending me (we think) a more "powerful" induction mic, so I am hoping this device will be able to produce something of higher quality. The other option is to try and reach the speakers that are on the poles. However, this option will require a tall extension, at least 5' or more, plus some way to hold it in place for 30 minutes. I'm not a fan of doing recordings like this so I will most likely pass on this method. In fact, I have heard recordings made from the pole speakers using this method and the sound quality was not the best, although perhaps better than what I just captured, as there was at least low/mid level sounds captured.
My Wilderness Lodge lobby recording also came out poor. This hasn't been a good weekend. However, at least it will serve as a reference recording to reconstruct the loop. Besides thx99, who would be the best to help identify the correct tracks in the loop?
