Hey there, Hi there, Ho there,
I just learned that in South Africa the Treasure Planet OST was released on CD with a song called "Chasing Shadows" performed by Heinz Winckler, whom you may know as the South African Idol from World Idol.
The song is available for free as complete video on his website http://www.heinzw.co.za/index.html in the Sights&Sounds-section after registration.
Now my question: does anyone have an idea who composed the song? From the sound of it it fits in perfectly, so it might be an original composition just not used in the US and European versions...
During the search for more information I learned that the ITALIAN release of the soundtrack actually was 2-CD set. The first CD is identical to the US version, the second CD contains only three songs:
1. Un Homme Libre - David Hallyday
2. Ci Sono Anch'io - Max Pezzali/883
3. Sigo Aqui - Alex Ubago
Now: does anyone know wether these three songs are all new material or wether maybe two of them are "only" Italian versions of the songs from the US version (in the later case which is which), is maybe one of the three songs an Italian version of the South African song??
Anyone??
Yours
Dirk
