Well it's finally out and I'm loving it =D A big thankyou to JoeInJpn for pretending to be my own personal webstore and buying/sending me a copy ;D
It took almost a year for this to come out, relatively long for a Tokyo cd. But they came through and got it out, and it's true to a Tokyo cd's forms. The whole parade's on it, 40 minutes of parade in fact. They made a few decisions I was quite pleased with such as looping the opening music twice, once with and once without Mickey. They even did 2 loops of some other floats such as Frontierland and Toontown, i.e. once with just Goofy who's on the front of the float and once with just Mike and Sully who are on the back of the float. That was completely unnecessary but it's very cool of them Instead of longer, smooth transitions between float sections, they do a very hard jump(not entirely hard but the transitions are minimal and hard to pick up just listening through it). They only cheated once, going from Critter Country into Toontown hence skipping Tomorrowland and doing it afterwards. I'd been curious about how that was going to sound and they avoided the situation But it did mean they had to jump from Tomorrowland into the tropical island sounds.
Here's to hoping that one day Disneyland gets the rights to its parades and shows and actually releases stuff, and hre's to hoping Magic Kingdom starts thinking to put the whole parade on CD and not forgetting the intro or spectromen
I'm going to wait until my physical cd arrives before I do any heavy messing around, but I couldn't help having a little fun.
