Tokyo Disney Music

I'm going to Tokyo next week and am interested in anyone's recommendation on good Disney music (from the 2 Japanese parks or otherwise) that is available in Japan.

Also I know there have been tons of Tokyo Disney cd releases-any recommendations on starting my collection-or purchases I should make?

If you like the original music for It's a Small World, the cd released earlier this year by Avex in Japan is the definitive version to date and a must have. Several threads including tracklistings and various reviews were posted here shortly after its release.

Great tip Bill!

As I hope to finally get to Tokyo in 2003 I will write that down. Could you give me a hint where in Tokyo I can find those Used Records shops??

THANKS

There is a very popular used books and cd's shop named BOOK-OFF. They have large yellow and blue signs on the storefronts and are usually located near major metropolitan centers around Tokyo. I was there a few days ago and they had both TDL's and TDS's 2002 Christmas CD's for 1000yen each (about US$9.00).

There are other smaller shops that may have older or out of print titles.

Thanks for the information on the used cd's. Great idea that hadn't occured to me.

By the way...great website Joe. I've never been to Japan or the Tokyo parks and hadn't come across your website yet. Great pictures and info. This is the last of the Disney theme parks I have to visit, at least until Hong Kong Disneyland opens...(not counting Disney Studios Paris-ugh)

Any idea how crowded it is on week of Xmas?
