The Magic Of WDW plus other selections (downloads available)

Here's the selections that I spoke of earlier. For lack of a better naming convention, I'm listing these as WDP + song catalog name (WDP for Walt Disney Productions -- not Pictures).

Some of the music was used in the 1972 film "The Magic Of Walt Disney World", "The Walt Disney Story", the "Traditions" film (used for training at the various Disney Universities in the early 1970's through the mid-1980's), the PeopleMover attraction, and so on.

The quality here is not the best, and I apologize for that. Most of the tracks include pops, dropouts, crossovers, etc.

Perhaps those of you who have a better knowledge of these selections than I can post to this topic more detailed information about each piece.

Not included here is the actual song "The Magic Of Walt Disney World", however I'm still pulling cassettes out of storage and there's a chance that I might have it plus one or two more tracks similar to what I've posted here. I'll add the links if I find them.

Enjoy! --Jim

Thanks so much for posting these tracks.I recognize some of them. Some of these themes were also used in the first WDW home video,"A Dream called Walt Disney World".WDP_2G contains themes used when they tell you about all the transportation options at WDW.The end of this track contains themes used for the Polynesian, and then Fort Wilderness and River Country.
AB6264 was also used as they say that there are many other areas to visit after you see the theme park.WD 137-165 sounds like a variation of this theme.
RW-814 is the "monorail song".
WD105-142 is part of "When you wish Upon a Star",but not familiar with this version.
I don't recognize anything else. Thanks for bringing back a lot of memories.I always enjoyed "a dream called wdw".Hope you are able to post the song"the magic of wdw". :)

These are great! Thank you so much!

I`d love to find the source audio used in 1984`s "Follow us to Walt Disney World" video - specifically the EPCOT Center section. It`s a long shot, but you never know. All the same, thanks for these.

I have an MP3 of "The Magic of WDW" that was ripped from the video. It's good quality. I'll gladly make it available if someone's willing to host it. I'm currently having problems uploading anything to my ISP.

Let me know.

Jeff

Jeff, I'll host it with the other selections that I've provided here. I'm send you a PM.

Also, thanks mmmfan for posting the additional details about the tracks!

Found my copy of "The Magic of Walt Disney World" -- it's the studio recording without the vocals. I'm making it available here along with Jeffcot's MP3 (ripped from the video) and an edited mix that I made using both files.

Never have seen A Dream Called Walt Disney World. But I have seen The Magic of Walt Disney World several times. The short (around 30 minute) version at least. There was an expanded version that appeared on the Disney TV show, but I haven't seen that one. But here are a few more notes, all from The Magic of Walt Disney World:

Wdp Wd-86: Clips of Main Street, including the marching band, followed by a montage of people in the park.

Wdp Wd-105-142: Fantasyland segment.

Wdp Wd-137-165: Monorail ride between the hotels and the Magic Kingdom; variation of main theme.

Wdp Wd-187: Liberty Square segment

Also, Wdp Ab-6264 is the main theme heard in The Magic of Walt Disney World, but this is a different version than heard in that film. Perhaps this was from the expanded version.

And interestingly, the song "The Magic of Walt Disney World" isn't heard anywhere in The Magic of Walt Disney World. At least not in the short version!

Howdy. 6264 took me a little longer than the rest, but then I got it. The Magic of WDW theme heard here is from the Walt Disney Story, when Walt was talking about WDW. It continues straight through to the film's curtain. Please gather your personal belongings!
