The Enchanted Tiki Room

I am looking for information that discusses the differences between the DL version and the old WDW version of the Enchanted Tiki Room. Does anyone know how many different versions of the attraction have been presented at each location? Has the sequence of the main show always been as follows:

The Tiki Tiki Room
Offenbach
Let's All Sing Like the Birdies Sing
Aloha
The Hawaiian War Chant
Finale
Heigh Ho

Thanks

Glad you asked:
The original Enchanted Tiki Room soundtrack for both Disneyland and WDW were the same (same as what's on the Disneyland box set). The pre-shows were the only difference to the soundtrack. The original Tokyo Disneyland soundtrack was also the same but with re-recorded vocals. The only changes were to Disneyland in the mid 90's (to present) when the show was slightly shortened. Then also in the 90's (???)(to present) the WDW show changed to Under New Managment. And more recently the Tokyo show changed to the new "Fever" version of the show. So, there are only 3 different shows, and non are as good as the original...

Thanks.

Are you aware of how many pre-shows there have been, in both WDW and DL?

Can you confirm that the Forever tracks are from the original version?

Finally, does anyone know the running time of the current DL version?

Thanks.

The version on the 6disc is the original I believe. The current Dl version only skips the offenbach part doesn't it?

The current DL version eliminates Offenbach, the first part of "Let's All Sing Like the Birdies Sing" (the slow whistled section before the birdmobile starts singing) and an isolated line or two that might (?) have set off the PC alarms on a slow news day. ("A little applause for the girls, too.")

The 6 disc box and the Wonderland Music CD both have the complete original show. I'm sure DL Forever did too.

Actually didn't the 6CD set eliminate the line "Buenas Dias Senorita" for some reason? This line still plays in the DL show though.

Hey, I thought I remember reading some where that in Disneyland they tried to get together the original cast to redo the vocals in the 90s but it never worked out.

There have been two preshows at WDW, basically the same setup but the vocals are different, right?

They got as much of the original cast as they could for the redo at wdw's under new management i think. they got back thurl anyways =D

For the WDW re-do, they brought back Thurl Ravenscroft (Fritz), Fulton Burley (Michael) and Wally Boag (Jose). Ernie Newton, who voiced Pierre and had since passed away, was replaced by Jerry Orbach.

In addition to deleting the Offenbach segment and part of Let's All Sing Like the Birdies Sing, they also shortened the opening song, "In the Tiki, Tiki, Tiki, Tiki Room," by at least a stanza. The stanza where one of the birds sings "Our show is delightful we hope you'll agree, we hope that if fills you with pleasure and glee, because if we don't make you feel like that we're going to wind up on a lady's hat!" was removed. Has anybody else observed this?

A note on the Tropical Serenade preshow.

Before William and Morris, there was the Claude Birdbrain prehow, which featured Dallas McKenna and Sebastian Cabot as the two parrots behind the Enchanted Waterfall. Tropical Serenade was sponsored by Florida Citrus Growers, and references were made to the orange groves on New Years's Eve, etc. I had a poor copy of this audio a long time ago, but I cannot find it now. I miss the show, although the New Management preshow is not that much different.
