That "Disney" Sound

Remember the songs from Disney World and Disneyland in the 90?s that had those REALLY GREAT studio singers? They sounded like jazz singers. The harmony was very tight and the music was straight-toned. This is my VERY favorite sound of all. I really wish they would use these singers again.

EXAMPLES OF THE SOUND I?M TALKING ABOUT-
1. Everyday?s A Holiday Stage Show
2. Mickey?s Very Mary Christmas Parade
3. Remember the Magic Parade
4. Remember the Magic Finale
5. Jumpin? Jam
6. Hello Song
7. Current Welcome Medley from the Magic Kingdom
8. Feel the Magic
9. Disney Cruise Line Variety Show

NOT THAT SOUND I?M TALKING ABOUT-
1. Disney World is Your World
2. Disney Mania Stage Show
3. Wishes Fireworks

Anyone know the sound I?m talking about? If you do and could inform us of more songs with that ?Disney? sound, please do! Thanks so much for your help!

Have a GREAT day,

Do you mean the one from DL by Bruce Healey? Although that is a fav. of mine, it doesn't have those Disney straight tone singers that I love so much. I would not consider that song to have "that disney sound." STILL LOVE IT, THOUGH!

Wishes! Ah, another one of my favorites. I would consider it to be closer to ?that disney sound? than Christmas Fantasy. Those singers are still pretty heavy on the vibrato at times. I?d say that Christmas Fantasy and Wishes have more of that ?classic? disney sound; more of an old fashion disney sound if you will.

Tokyo Disneyland has used those singers that I like so much! Disney Halloween is a great example! The introduction to A SPARKLING CHRISTMAS FOR YOU (We Need A Little Christmas) has that disney sound I love. Have you heard ?Remember the Dreams?? This is a good example of what I don?t think has that disney sound. Listen to the ?Remember the Magic? portion in about the middle of the song. The orchestration is practically identical to the Remember the Magic Parade from WDW. However, the singers from Remember the Dreams don?t blend as well as the ones on the parade. If you do a side by side comparison you can hear the difference. Those Remember the Dreams singers just don?t sound like one unified voice.

I?m off. Have a great weekend!

See I enjoy, Celebrate the future, Share a dream come true and "All Around the World" to be some of the best! Maybe I am far off

funny that you mention "All Around the World". While DLRP still uses it now and then as background music when characters get out in larger numbers on Main Street, USA the song basically has been forgotten, even so I think it would be perfect to use in connection with something in EPCOT or to celebrate something international.
