English ?Sea of Dreams?, a Tokyo DisneySea 5th anniversary song, was released as CD on Oct 4, 2006. It is included in the compilation CD called ?Disney on Classic A Magical Night 2006?.
You cannot listen to English version of ?Sea of Dreams? on any Tokyo DisneySea CD so far, so it is worth purchasing it. The CD is limited 20,000 editions.

You can also listen to the music clip. Click link below (Neowing site) then scroll down. You can click on either REAL Player icon or WINDOWS MEDIA Player icon on 1st track.

I've had this track since last spring from a source of mine. I still prefer the faster-paced (non-Misia) Japanese version played in the "Meet and Smile" show.

I guess I'll have to ask Brad Kelley to sign my new "Disney on Classics" CD when I meet him in a couple of weeks. :D

Disney on Classic 2005 - LIVE ... new CD?!

Thanks for the head-up!

I just saw that the CD is also available from amazon.com - and for a rather reasonable price of $34.49 if one considers that it is an import and a limited edition.

Looking for the CD I also found that the two prior releases 2004 and 2005 are available as imports through amazon.com as well. For the whole "series" see: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_nr_i_1/104-...ular&page=1

But what really surprised me was this listing http://www.amazon.com/Disney-Classic-Magic...TF8&s=music
for a CD titled "Disney on Classic: a Magical Night 2005 Live" to be released October 12 in Japan by Avex Trax. I assume it is a live recording from last year's Disney on Classic concert tour. Would anyone be able to get access to a track listing to compare it to the one for the "Disney on Classic - a magical Night 2005"-CD? The latter only included two live tracks (at least that is how I read the booklet without reading / speaking any Japanese), "Part of Your World" and "Happy Ending" recorded 09 30 2004 and performed by Sarah Anne Lewis. I was hoping that the new "LIVE"-CD would include different material compared to the earlier release but with the (for an import OK) hefty price tag I would like to know before ordering.

THANKS in advance for your help.

Disney on Classic 2005 live tracks (including sample clips) can be seen on HMV site.

I highly recommend that you should buy Disney on Classic 2005 Live. For park music fans, ?We go on? at Epcot is available on Disc 1 Track 10. I like this arrangement. (My favorite song ?A Whole New World? is Disc 1 Track 8. J)

Disney on Classic 2004 (AVCW-12415) (Recorded by Neverland Orchestra. Part 1 only)
Disney on Classic 2005 (AVCW-12417) (Compilation Album. Partially recorded by Neverland Orchestra)
Disney on Classic 2005 Live (AVCW-12525) (Live recording by Neverland Orchestra. Both Part 1 & Part 2)
Disney on Classic 2006 (AVCW-12523) (Compilation Album, Partially recorded by Neverland Orchestra)

I don?t have CD 2004 & 2005 (compilation), though I will buy them soon. Information is from online CD reviews.

I?m wondering if Disney on Classic will have U.S. tours with US orchestra someday. (I want to see it especially at Music City, Nashville.)

HI Yoshi,

thanks for the link - unfortunately it only displays the track-listing with Japanese characters :-

Since you mentioned the "Neverland Orchestra" - who / what is that? Just based on the English bits and pieces in the booklets of the 2004 and 2005 CDs I understood that all tracks on the CDs were performed by the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra as far as not solo-artists (noteably Disney's Love & Ballad Acoustic Corner on the 2005 CD) were named.

From the point of view of a theme park music fan I would recommend the 2004 CD more than the 2005 since the 2004 also includes the "Main Street Electrical Parade" in a great philharmonic non-electrical recording as well as "Illuminations: Reflections of Eart" (which sounds very close to the original recording, maybe too close to actually justify buying the CD just for this track) and "It's A Small World" in an incredible philharmonic recording! Even so the 2005 CD also includes the "Enchanted Fairy Garden" from Fantillusion for me personally the MSEP and "It's A Small World" just make the difference ;-)

Sorry. To see the HMV site in English, you need to go to English top page first.
Click below.
http://www.hmv.co.jp/index.asp?lang=en

If you still see Japanese characters at this page, click on ?English? at left.

Then click the link below. You would see the descriptions in English.

Neverland Orchestra is actually Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra. Members of Neverland Orchestra were selected from Tokyo Philharmonic orchestra for Disney on Classic. When Disney on Classic 2006 ends in Dec, the member will return to Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra.

Thanks Yoshi!

The links work perfectly now!

I just ordered the 2006 and the 2005LIVE CDs ... can't wait to get them.

Also thanks for clearing the "Neverland Orchestra" question up.

Hopefully the success of this Japanese concert tour gets some orchestras in the US and Europe behind the idea as well. Seeing the recent increase of movie score concerts by respected philharmonic orchestras in Germany it is hopefully only a question of time...
