TDL Christmas Events 2006 (WHAT'S GOING ON???)

I'm EXTREMELY confused about the TDL Christmas events. I have heard the parade music--it's the music from the old Jolly Holiday Parade, but all sung in English. (GREAT vocals.)

Now, I've heard that there is going to be NO Christmas castle show! How sad! If that is true, what is "Twinkle Holiday Moment"? I assumed that was the castle show. I wonder if since they cancelled the show if it's going to be on the CD. Does ANYONE know what's going on with Christmas at TDL and/or what will be on the CD? Please fill us in in depth. Thanks SO much!!!

All i know is that there have been 2 Cd releases planned for november 29th for a couple months now and I've been watching them. One for TDL and one for TDS. Who knows what's on it, the track listing hasn't been announced. And then a 3rd one got added that seems to be a christmas carol collection, not sure if it's disney characters singing it or not.

Hey Rick,

I guess this year OLC decided to take some cost-cutting measures into action and toned down the offerings this holiday season.

The parade reuses a lot of older stuff, including music, costumes (which they normally do), and especially the floats - all except two from Moving On. Still- its a damn good parade, at least they redo their parade every year, can't say the same for the American parks.

No castle stage show this year, just a castle lighting ceremony with a group of characters.

Also, big band beat has a christmas overlay.

I think they spent so much on the TDS 5th offerings that they cut back this year. Or they could be taking more influence from the American parks (which I wouldn't say is such a great thing).
I have also thought that they might be cutting back a bit this year and next year to save costs for the TDL 25th in 2008. They are getting TWO whole new parades, and lots, lots more. A fortune will be spent on that I am sure.
