This may be old news, but I happened upon composer Steve Bramson's official website and noted that he has several downloadable mp3 samples there of his music for "Space Mountain Paris".

Three tracks can be found on his "Adventure" page under "Music":
  1. "The Grandeur of Space" (0:48)
  2. "Boarding the Ship" (0:30)
  3. "Light Speed" (0:32)

And one track can be fond on his "For Fun" page under "Music"
  1. "Silly Aliens" (0:34) [part of the Tomorrowland BGM loop?]

Awesome! The bitrate is pretty low, but beggars and choosers and whatnot. Just wish I could get ALL of it on CD or at a higher bitrate someday.

The quality and length do leave a bit to be desired, but yes, better than nothing. I wasn't sure if any or all of these had officially surfaced before in one form or another.

There's another SM clip on the fun page (under music) "silly Aliens".

No need to apologize! When I receive email notifications of responses posted to a thread I'm following, they're often truncated. So unless I actually go to the thread, I'm missing out on the whole message.

It's too bad so little of his work for Disney has seen the light of day. The copy of the original Space Mountain DLP score that has floated around for years is, I believe, sourced from a press kit cassette tape that was given out when it opened.

Many thanks for the posting. Interesting that he's given names for the various segments. This would make sense for example as the 'boarding' segment was used leaving the station, rounding the hairpin, dropping and climbing a bunny hop and then being held on the launcher before being projected into the main building. Personally I preferred the original - the hold before being hurtled into the main building was so intense with the music which would keep repeating if there was a delay. I believe the 'complete' music of the trains was released in a press kit (but I may be wrong). Great find - brought back some very pleasant memories. Many years ago, they featured a programme on the making of Space Mountain - must see if I've still got a copy.
