Space mountain music- New Question- No really

Allright I know this has been discussed a million times but I don't think this particular facet has come up. I just need a couple of dates. First what year was the Esquivel music was added to WDW's Space Mountain? Was it in 1985 with the rest of the Wilkins music?

Also what year did the queue video show up and what year did it arrive at DL? Was this the same year that the new onboard score was added to DL (97 if I remember right)?

Thanks in advance.

I'm thinking both the Esquivel music and the queue monitors came in with the rest of the FedEx overhaul in 1995. I have no idea about Disneyland.

Thanks for the answer JCMagic. I guess I missed it when you first posted. Can anyone confirm these dates? And Disneyland got the Queue Videos 19__?

Basically what I'm trying to do I guess is assemble a musical Space Mountain Timeline. These are the dates I have so far. Please let me know if I've got anything wrong.

WDW
1974-RCA Home of Future Living
-Comchat
-WED WED WED Ride Music
1985-We've Come So Far (Entrance, Star Tunnel, Speed Ramp)
-Space Warp (Should this predate we've come so far?
1995-Queue Video
-Esquivel
DL
1977-Comchat
1997-Queue Video
-Onboard Score

Intercot says that Disneyland's onboard audio and queue video were added "in preparation for" their Tomorrowland remake in 1998. That wording is a bit ambiguous, so it could have been earlier.

Also, I've always seen the opening date for WDW's Space Mountain as January 15, 1975, but your timeline has 1974. Is that an error, or was there a soft opening in 1974?

Well it would seem that you are correct JC. 1975 is the correct year. I got 74 from the book Disney A-Z. But E-Ticket Magazine once again has proved to be a valuable resource and they had the correct date. Thanks.

I have to say pre 1998 was 1997 for the sound and Fed Ex redo. I remeber watching the TV special and thinking how the "new" sound in SM was not new at all. I do remember bundling up for the Opening of NT but whether it was winter 97-98 or 98-99 (I favor the former) cant say for sure.

And the song for the RCA Home of Future Living was written by....? For a roller coaster there sure is a lot of musical minutia. Ain't it great?!!
