Sort of OT - Toxic Audio Debut in NY

I'm saying this is sort of off topic, because it's been about 5 years since The Voiceovers was the pre-show to the B&TB show at MGM. Since then, they've changed their name to Toxic Audio and have been wowwing audiences in Orlando, Royal Caribbean cruises, and, individually, as members of the Liberty Voices and American Vybe.

Anyway, after a year delay (their lead singer was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma just before their NY debut in early 2003. He's now in remission), Toxic Audio will be making their off-Broadway debut in New York City on January 2-11, 2004.

Toxic Audio is an a cappella quintet whose motto is "never underestimate the power of the human voice." They are AMAZING, with clean vocals, wonderful harmonization, human beat boxes and bass, comedy and familiar songs that you'll be tapping your feet to.

If anyone is able to see them in their NY debut, I STRONGLY recommend your going. More information about Toxic, their shows and tickets can be found here:

If any of y'all go on Jan. 3, 4, 5, 7 or 8, look for a 4'7" Floridian lady with chin-length, brownish-gray, curly hair and a knapsack...and then say hi to me .

Oh shut up .

I'm a good girl...I called him and asked permission before I posted it. Actually, I posted it, called, left a voice mail to ask permission (cuz SOMEONE was on TZTOT wth Ovapants), THEN he eventually called back and said OK...which I knew he was gonna do anyway, which is why I posted it without actually HAVING the persmission in the first place.

Like anyone cares .

Danny-

Yep, I've heard that rendition of theirs and yep, it's good. If you want GOOD Toxic Audio, buy one or more of their 3 CD's...if you can only get one, get the 3rd one, called Chemistry...it won for a cappella album of the year last year.

The BEST song they've ever done is Stand By Me. IMHO . Though The Water is Wide and The Drummer Boy are DAMN close!

Did you know that Shalisa James used to be the voice of Mitzi for Showtime Pizza, 20-odd years ago? She says that The Piza People have "found" her and write to her every once in a while .

Curious...was anybody here able to go? No one approached me during the 6 shows we saw, but that doesn't mean much...I have a lot of enemies .
