I read on one of the film music boards that Alan Silvestri has been booted off Pirates of the Caribbean. I'm so disappointed, because I was hoping for a big orchestral/melodic blowout along the lines of Mummy Returns. With the movie set to open so soon, I'm afraid the replacement score will be some horrible synth production from the likes of Hans Zzzzzzimmer or his progeny.
