Bill

Just wondering what rehearsal CDs/tapes are floating out there. Can anyone shed some light? Thanks.

"I don't know if they are "floating around out there" but I have quite a few from past Tokyo Disney Resort events/shows.

just out of curiosity, can I ask what those events/shows are? "

Yeah, I'm curious too! Especially if there are any that have not been released on CD in full before.

As for the Magic Kingdom rehearsal tapes, are they availible in stereo? I know some of the ones I have are mono, and are not the most ideal source. I'd love to find them if they are clean stereo versions!

I'm guessing these are from rehearsal tapes:
Disneyland Is Your Land
Disney World Is Your World
Disney's Mulan Parade
Hercules Victory Parade
Light Magic
Mickey's 50th Birthday
Mickey's 60th Birthday
Sebastian Party Gras (?)
The World According To Goofy Parade
Walt Disney World Tencennial Parade

Posted by Squalls Ahead here, about a year ago:
Donald Duck's 50th Birthday Parade (2 tracks)
Disneyland 25th Anniversary Parade (5 tracks)

another confirmed CD to add to the list:
Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade (2 CD)

I am also interested in the TDL parades / shows.

am i the only one who finds the whole "someone mentioned a show's music on one website lemme post on all the other websites asking if anybody has it in multiple threads" scene out of hand =P

OOO KKKK, MOUACTP = Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas Time Parade.

I believe that's the newest parade that's coming out this year? (I honestly can't recall the full name)

I am NOT trying to squash anyone's love of disney music, but I must say... it's because of questions/conversations like this (and several other "incidents") that rehearsal CDs are no longer given to performers to rehearse with. They go into rehearsals and pratice to a "glitched" cd (with loud "spikes" every few seconds). It's annoying, but it's used as a precautionary measure to deture (sp?) people from posting this music on-line.

Sorry, guys.

(again, NOT trying to cough in anyone's cornflakes; but just thought you should know what's going on)

I'm not getting into (and hopefully not causing) a argument, but maybe if they sold this stuff instead of sitting on it, people wouldn't have to resort to finding it online. Someone in the company is probably sitting on it and having a laugh reading this right now. Well mister this is for you:

That was my understanding as well. However, someone made a post on another website indicating that a version of the new parade without the glitches was out. Whether this is true or not is another story.

Try knowing someone that not only has the Once Upon A Christmas Time Parade but has the Castle Lighting show audio, Hong Kong Disneyland Glow In The Park Halloween Parade, Hong Kong Disneylands NEW NOT EVEN RELEASED Let it snow Christmas Parade!!! And there is no way in HELL to get ahold of them, unless, you are involved in Entertainment at Disney.

I could see why they would be doing this...but more so, I would hope that it is part of the fact that they are planning to release more of this music officially for purchase. While that is probably not the case, WDW has done well in releasing more and more entertainment music (even though the cds have their critics)...and if they want folks to get out there and purchase the actual cds, perhaps they want to crack down on the illegal sharing before hand?
probably not the case, but it's a thought.

Well said. It's such a passionate issue to me...I have talked at length with Randy himself about this kind of thing. He understands the frustration as well, especially from the DLR side.

Perhaps someday, someone will come along that will change this sort of thing for the better...for both of the US resorts.

I will say this, you have got to give WDW credit for doing better and better as the years have gone on. While the cds have their critics, and the cuts/mixes are not always what the diehard fans want - they are getting better at getting the music out period...in some form.
I cannot say the same about Disneyland Resort.

and yet it still baffles me that after all the defense disney had about them not being able to sell enough to make it worth producing these albums that the event parties cd has mysteriously vanished from the shelves already when surely they could stand to sell more of them.

There hasn't been any reports of more of them out since then?

Perhaps they are not selling it during the upcoming christmas parties because none of that party music is on this "Event Party Music" disc? Perhaps they think guests would get confused?

I highly doubt they pulled it to never put it back up again? Didn't someone say that a new order of them were to come in sometime soon?
