Paragon Ragtime Orchestra

[Horizons]

I purchased the complete works of the Paragon Ragtime Orchestra as a present for myself. Eleven CDs were included in my purchase, including one CD dedicated to Christmas music. Most will know that group's second CD ("The Whistler and His Dog") is the source for a few of the tracks used in the WDW and DL Main Street U.S.A. area music loops.

I have only been through four of the CDs so far, including the Christmas CD, but these are excellent! I recommend that anyone who enjoys the musical style of the Main Street area music check out the CDs that are available.

If anyone else has one or more of the CDs, I would be interested in hearing your thoughts/reviews.

Thanks for the link! I BELIEVE I actually saw these guys at Lincoln Center years ago. They were fantastic. I can't find my playbill, but it might have even been when they did the show with Paul Taylor dance. Or it might have been one of those spring festivals. I remember really enjoying them and thinking I'd like to get a recording. And then I promptly forgot all about it. Glad to see I can get some cds and even happier to see they have a nice little website. And you can listen to samples to make sure its the music you want!

I have never seen them live, but they usually play Florida in January/February. However, for some reason, they are not coming this way in 2009. I would really like to see them.
