OT: Runaway Brain Audio Out of Sync?

Allright I'm slowly but surely collecting the recent wave of Disney Treasures. As soon as I got the Mickey set I tore off the 39 layers of wrapping, and popped it in to watch Runaway Brain, a film that I have long wanted to see. As soon as the first line of dialogue is spoken though, I noticed a little problem. All of the dialogue (possibly the sfx too; harder to tell) is just a tad faster than the lip movements. The characters are animated so crisply, with nice bold held mouth poses, that it's very noticeable if you watch for it. Is it possible that only a small number of the DVD's have this problem? Has anyone else noticed this?

In watching the other features on the disc, there's a short clip of Runaway Brain in which the voices are synced properly. So the problem would seem to be unique to this version of the film.

On a side note did anyone else notice that Mickey is a Trekkie?

Have we discovered any hidden bonus features in this or the WWII set? I know Bill told us about the hidden Tomorrowland track on that set, and Leonard Maltin makes it sound like there's something hidden on this one too.

I was hoping that perhaps they would include the film from WDW that showed how Mickey got discovered (what was it called?) "Mickey's Big Break" or something like that? With Roy E Disney playing Walt. I have heard about it but never got to see it. Hopefully it will surface someday. Maybe they can do a disc of stuff that was only produced to be shown at the Theme Parks.

X-S,

There are bonus features on all of the recently released Treasures DVD sets. I stumbled upon a site that reviews all four releases in Wave three, and includes access tips for the bonus features (Easter Eggs)--here's the link:

As for synch rates, I'm not sure I noticed on Runaway Brain, although I just may have not been paying enough attention, but I have found out-of-synch audio on the Donald DVD (can't recall if its disc 1 or 2). Fortunately, the only place this occurs there (that I'm aware of) is during one of Maltin's intro pieces. Although I appreciate some of his background tid-bits, the comments about how many of these cartoons are not PC by today's standards could have been left off, IMO. That's why the out-of-synch audio during one of his moments doesn't bother me. ;D

And, I should have added that the bonus features are separate and distinct from the "Easter Eggs" on all these sets. The bonus features are clearly indicated and usually available from a secondary menu on the DVD. The Easter Eggs (additonal bonuses not listed on the sleeve or menu), if included on the disc, might be found anywhere, but usually can be found on a secondary menu (like the "bonus features" menu). For these, look not for text, but for some picture or object that you can select with the arrow buttons/controls on your DVD remote.
