OT: Disney Gallery at DL to close for good

Well in honor of the Disney Gallery's 20th Anniversary, DL has decided to close the Gallery. It's last day of operation will be July 31st. The rumor (strongly corroborated) is that it will be made into a private apartment for lucky winners of the Year of a Million Dreams. I urge anyone who loves the Gallery to call Disneyland and ask them to keep it open. The number to do this is (714) 781-7290. This line is only manned from 8am-4pm Pacific time. Which is perfect considering the year of a million dreams is almost over unless of course they're planning on extending it ANOTHER YEAR >_< ugh.

I don't know about that. From what I read on micechat, it would only be a temporary replacement of the Gallery for the Year of a Million Dreams. Also, according to this post at WDWMagic: http://forums.wdwmagic.com/showthread.php?t=201591 the Year of a Million Dreams has either been cancelled or not extended. Of course, this is still just a rumor, but who knows?

Officially it's happening, though it's fate after the year of a million dreams is something I don't know. Having talked to some CM's in the Gallery, they hold out no hope that it will return. They are convinced that eventually Disney will be renting it out at a high premium once the Year of a Million Churros is over.

Does anyone have any doubt that they will theme it to Pirates? Seems like a natural, and wholly stupid thing to do.
