Hi All,

Apologies for the off-topic nature of this post, however I know there are a lot of experienced WDW travellers on this board.

I am very excited as I have just booked a vacation to WDW for Feb next year!

I haven't yet chosen the hotel to stay at, & was wondering if people could provide some personal recommendations. Here are my requirements:

1. Must be budget-priced (preferably

In May 2001 I stayed at the Comfort Inn LBV, right on Palm Parkway. I think I paid around $40-50 a night? In my opinion, it was an average hotel room. It was clean, and did have a small fridge. It's a block away from Crossroads, which means you can pretty much walk to McD's, BK, Taco Bell, Red Lobster, TGIF, Perkins, 7-11, Jungle Jims, and a few other places. They just built a Winn Dixie right there last year next to the ABC store, so that has become a great choice as opposed to Gooding's (I think that's what it's called) insano prices. Anyhow, food should not be a problem. The only thing I'm not sure on is the shuttle. I had a car at the time, and I never looked into the option of using a shuttle. If I had to do it again, I'd probably fork over the extra cash and stay at an All Star resort. In addition to the link provided earlier, I'd check 2 other Disney forums at http://www.disboards.com/ and http://www.wdwmagic.com/whatsnew.htm They each have entire sections dedicated to off-site hotels, and in just looking there a minute ago, I saw a thread about the Comfort Inn LBV. Have a fun trip! - innoventionseast

Hey there, Hi there, Ho there,

it might be interesting to look into the offers for the Courtyard by Marriott on the Hotel Boulevard. Even so it is on Disney property there are frequently really great offers for this hotel through the official website of the Marriott chain.

I stayed there in 2001 and had a great time - huge rooms (two double beds), huge bathroom, balcony with view of the Lake / Downtown Disney / Pleasure Island, pool, ...

Plus: it is a 5 minute walk away from the Crossroads complex (lots of good, not so expensive dining options, wonderful Hallmark store with the BEST range of Disney Classic Collection products I could find anywhere in / near Walt Disney World, even some really hard to find sold out pieces for very, very, very reasonable prices (in most cases: the original list price!!)) and another 5 minute walk from Downtown Disney (another bunch of shopping and dining options.

Plus as an official Disney partner hotel (or was it good neighbour hoel?) on Disney property there is a very good free shuttle system running to all the Disney theme parks and water parks. In fact it is even better than the shuttle system running to the official Disney hotels as you have the option to take a bus to Downtown Disney and walk the 5 minutes to your hotel, which gives you a wide choice of possible connections to get back to the hotel...
