MK Christmas BGM - Jolly Old St. Nicholas?

For the last couple of years, I have been on a quest to find a BGM that I think currently plays on either Main Street or the Entrance Area. The BGM has the song "Jolly Old St. Nicholas" in it and--both my wife and I think--it has spoken words to the song in it. I realize that most/many BGMs don't have words in them, and I have managed to acquire the Main Street loop (or what is supposedly it; there seems to be some confusion as to whether the same loop that plays at DLR or DLRP plays at WDW or not. In any case, I don't go enough at Christmas to know the difference, so it's fine by me) and it's definitely not in that loop. The version of the song (Jolly Old St. Nicholas) that we believe plays in the particular loop we're looking for is the same as one that's on the CD "Disney's Christmas Magic" (see: http://cgi.ebay.com/DISNEY-CHRISTMAS-MAGIC-CD-2003-NEW-AND-SEALED-/390129833860?pt=UK_CDsDVDs_CDs_CDs_GL ).

Any idea if this song is actually in a BGM, or are our memories deceiving us? Is it possible that the song is played in a loop only during MVMCP? I would really like to find this particular BGM (if it, in fact, does exist) as it's the one we actually remember hearing played while we've closed down the parks.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Can you tell me what you mean by this? I can't say that I hear any spoken words in Jolly Old St. Nicholas on Disney's Magic Christmas (2003). :cd:

Hi Jay, thanks for the response. I actually cross-posted this on Rodentsections and received a response from TyphoonLagoon/Horizons that it's a Ray Conniffer track. A little more digging and I found this:
[entry=207]Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party - MSUSA BGM[/entry]

Now to either find the tracks and recreate the BGM or to get the live reference to which Horizons alludes...

Odd that there are no lyrics in your Jolly Old St. Nicholas. The CD I have is copyright 2008 (got it from Target). I wonder if they do slight variants of the CD each year or something? In any case, I was wrong about the version of the song.

Ray Conniff. The track was IDed by me.

I didn't say there are no lyrics. I said there are no spoken words.

I listened to my copy of the 2003 CD that you pointed to on eBay.

In any case, I was wrong about the version of the song.
I don't think you'll find the Ray Conniff Singers on any of Disney's holiday CDs. :cd:

Just a shot in he dark here but that track (Ray Coniff) does have a section where the music all but stops playing and, although still singing, it does sound a bit like talking in a melodic voice. That may have sounded like speaking when heard outside in the (noisy) park. The voices also slow down so maybe that's what you remember?
Have another listen.

I guess I used the phrase "spoken words" a little too loosely as I meant lyrics. I really just had the version wrong, plain and simple. I don't know why I thought it was the same one as the one with kids singing (is the one on your CD sung by children, Jay?), I guess maybe my memory is slipping and/or we've always heard the kids' version at home, so we 'blended' that into the one that plays at the parks...or something.

Now the tough task of finding all of these CDs before Christmas this year. At least I have plenty of time!

Thanks everyone for the help. This was really my first foray into this site; I've used Rodentsections for years but nothing else. I have to say, WOW is there a wealth of information here. Thanks for everyone's hard work who has contributed to the site! Definitely going to assembly myself a Typhoon Lagoon playlist, too!
