Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy Song

There is a song that I'm not sure of the name. It was created for Walt back in the 50s or 60s and has been used in the parks (At least on Remember the Dreams parade for Tokyo's 20th Anniversary) with the name (I don't know the correct title) Your Friends: Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy and Mickey Mouse. Has anyone heard of this and more importantly, does anyone happen to know where I might find this?

Ho-ho.
Just suggested you came here from your post on Rodentsections.:)
You should get an answer with the extra info you have given .
Let's hope it's not only available from the Tokyo set (you ahve to be in Japan to buy it).
Good luck.

Hmm...the only song I can think of is "Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, & the Gang". I think it was written for Mickey's 50th birthday in 1978, but it is possible it was done earlier. The only place I've seen it released in English was on the promo LP from Mickey's 50th. Other than that, It's been availible on various Tokyo Disneyland releases. I have no idea if this is the song you're looking for, but it's the only one I could think of that could fit the description.

can you type out a few of the lines from the song so we know which one you're talking about? there are several that it could sort of be :)

And Remember the Dreams wasn't a parade it was on the castle stage, Disney Dreams on Parade was the 20th parade.

Well, goes to show I'm not educated on the Tokyo tracks. I have a lot of them but I've never really paid any attention on if the tracks are stage or parade.

Unfortunately I can't type out any of the lines because I just don't know any other than "Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy. . ."

A friend who mentioned this song said it was written for Walt himself as a sort of tribute to Walt. Unfortunately that's all the info I have for you.

*Now that I think about it, it could very well be the one you mention, gurgitoy2. Is there anyplace I can find it online just to listen and see if it is in fact the one I'm looking for. Worth the shot.

I have the Tokyo 20th Anniversary Remember the Dreams CD. It lists all of the songs used (there's only 1 track on the CD which runs 27:20 in length) and it shows a song listed as "Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy & the Gang" which was written by Terry Dempsey and ©1977 Walt Disney Music Company.

There was a 7" single released (ANC 1045) on Anchor Records. Anchor Records was a U.K.- based record label and marketing division of ABC-Paramount Records in the United States. ABC Records marketed (distributed) Anchor albums in the USA, and Anchor Records issued many ABC albums in the United Kingdom as "ABC Records Marketed by Anchor Records." Anchor was founded in 1974 and ceased operations in 1978.

That's may be rather difficult I'm afraid.
http://www.resortathome.com/cd/thankyoufor2000cd.html
also has it on the 2000 CD but they can't (for contractual reasons) post stuff outside of Japan.
I suggest you look to places like ebay for a copy.
If it's no longer available (that is, if resortathome is selling old stock and Disney have now deleted it and it's no longer on any current CD), you could request it at Rodentsections but if it's still available (even if only in Japan), they can't.
I'm unsure of the status at the present time.

That's not the only CD it's available on. It was mainly used in a castle show called "Disney Musical Fantasy". The track has appeared on several TDL CD's. The one you linked to was basically a cast-only version of PCCD-00154 "Magical Music on Parade". There is one currently listed on ebay. It's also on "Mickey Mouse Celebration", Disc 7 of the original "Treasures of Fantasy", disc 6 of the 2003 reissue of "Treasures of Fantasy", and finally on the recently released Tokyo Disney Resort "Dream" 12 CD set. So, I guess there are a few options for tracking it down on actual disc, but I'm sure somebody can post it to Rodentsections or something. Personally, I'd love to get the English version that was relased in the UK and on the US promo LP.

No, Rodentsections can't help so please don't ask for it there if it's still commercially available (on the new 12 disc Tokyo set which they will not post out of Japan) - see the Forum sticky there on available items.
The post will get deleted if you ask for stuff that can still be bought - even if it IS only one track.

IF that version is in Japanese, however, that's a different matter and, if there isn't an English version available on any other current CD, someone there may just have it and post it to a filesharer for you.
Worth a try.
