Mickey at the Oscars...

So they decided to have Mickey be a presenter at this years Oscars...

What happended to him?!?! The CG animated mouse looked awful! If thats the way he's going to look in "Mickey's Philharmagic", then I don't hold out much hope for the character animation...

Geez, he looked better in "Kingdom Hearts" than he did last night!

Does anybody have pictures of this?
I've looked on Google but to no avail....

So, why a CG Mickey? Doesn't this confuse kids? After all they see Costume Character Mickey walking around the parks and then (what I presume to be) a very different looking Mickey on TV at the Oscars...?
And if Costume Character is good enough for the parks and PR events, isn't it good enough for the oscars? ???
