For years, I've heard that the WDW MSUSA Christmas loop was the same as the loop used in Disneyland, a copy of which, running 61:09, is in general circulation. A playlist for the DL loop can be found here. I ended up with a partial recording last year and, from what I could tell, the WDW version was not the same. I made a full recording last night (56:54) and here are the differences between the two that I noted:
- Some of the tracks in the 61:09 track appear to be off-speed/off-pitch, at least compared to my recording.
- O Tannenbaum is not included in my recording.
- Do You Hear What I Hear? has the first ~20 seconds cut and Jingle Bell Rock has the first ~7 seconds cut, as compared to what's included in the 61:09 track. Can anyone confirm whether the audio cut from these two songs are actually used in the DL loop, as represented in the 61:09 track?
For reasons unknown to me, it appears that Jingle Bell Rock, Jingle Bells, and ~39 seconds of Christmas Waltz are played again immediately following Lobe Den Herren. These songs were first captured at the very beginning of my recording and then again, about half way through, even though the music that follows is different than what was captured in the first part of the recording. Sometimes you hear some strange things in these loops. :lol:
Although I think the loop should run 56:54, it will actually run closer to an hour if I have to include the repeated songs (which I refuse to do).
I also confirmed the DHS Christmas loop is the same as in prior years. The EPCOT Christmas loop is usually the same as DHS, except for the Lights of Winter loop. However, the EPCOT music hasn't been turned on yet so I cannot confirm this year's music. It's also been reported on another website that the Lights of Winter display at EPCOT will not return this year. I hope this rumor turns out to be false.
