Magic Kingdom Music Notes

So after not visiting for a few years I took a walk around Magic Kingdom recently and kind of stopped and made notes about the area music. This may not be entirely accurate but I'm pretty sure it's close.

Entrance:

Same loop that was installed in 2005 and not the one that everyone on YouTube claims to be the current one.

Main Street USA:

Loop is the same one from Disneyland installed in 2012. What I jokingly refer to as the "Married Life" Loop because it has that song from the "Up" soundtrack in it.

Adventureland:

The first music playing as you enter is one of the new tracks called Jungle Cruise by Haim Mazar. My theory is that unlike Disneyland our jungle cruise area doesn't have speakers outside. So they used this for the entrance to Adventure Land instead. The next loop in Agrahbah is Arabian City by Haim Mazar which plays in the Agrabah area towards the front of The Magic Carpets. In the Caribbean plaza the song "Caribbean Plaza also by Haim Mazar plays. After that, beside and in the area of The Tiki Room the song "Enchanted Tike Room" by Haim Mazar plays. Now whether that's a misspelling on the author's part or if it was done that way for some legal reasons I'm not sure. But that's how it's listed anyway.

Frontierland is still the same old "Streets of Laredo" loop it's been for many years

Liberty Square is still the classic "Yankee Doodle" loop it has been since it switched back from the John Sousa loop.

The Tangled Bathroom Area loop seems to still be the same loop as when it opened.

Fantasyland West:

The classic yodeling loop has been replaced by music from the carousel. There seems to be seven tracks that play over and over again.

You Can Fly
Chime Chim
When You Wish Upon A Star
Be Our Guest
Whistle while You Work
Someday My Prince Will Come
A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes.

These appear to be the same versions available on the Walt Disney World Forever kiosk. Maybe slightly edited I'm not sure.if anyone can tell me when this change took place I would greatly appreciate it.

New Fantasyland:

I'm not that familiar with the new Fantasyland because I've only visited once so I can't be too sure. But there's a loop that plays outside of Gastons and I believe a different loop that plays outside of the Be Our guest restaurant. And there appears to be a loop outside of Petes Silly Sideshow at Storybook circus. But I am not positive about these.

Tomorrowland appears to be playing the same Dan Foliart loop as before but I had heard from somebody that they added the monorail song from Disneyland to make the loop match. I can't confirm this because I didn't hear the song.

Thank you for reading and any feedback or corrections or additions are most certainly welcome.

A few ammendments to your notes, specifically regarding New Fantasyland: I believe that the loop in front of Enchanted Tales with Belle and both the exterior and interior of Be Our Guest are the same, but the Gaston’s area features unique arrangements of many of the same songs (more rowdy and less orchestral to fit with the small town vibe). The interior of Pete’s Silly Sideshow has its own distinctive loop from the rest of the Storybook Circus area: it is the album Under The Big Top by The Great American Main Street Band played front to back. However, as the area is now used as a relaxation zone, the BGM is currently turned off inside the tent.

Thank you for the update OMD. I know so little about the new Fantasyland and I really don't plan on returning again until after the pandemic is over. So I guess I will go and try to find these loops in videos so I can at least hear what they sound like.. I also appreciate the info about the BGM inside the tent. Hopefully when things return to normal they will turn that back on!
