Hey there, Hi there, Ho there,
I don't know wether I should laugh or cry but Jungle Book 2 did not only make it to Germany finally but also to the number one spot!
It raced to the number one spot of the official movie charts in Germany based on guest-numbers in its first week and is now playing in its second week! So much about our hope that one day we finally get good movies again instead of cheap sequels :'(
Oh, they also released a soundtrack on CD ... which is surprisingly different from the US-release as "Das Dschungelbuch 2":
1. Jungle Rhythm - Ten Tenors, in English, Titlesong
2. Probier's mal mit Gem?tlichkeit = The Bare Necessities in German as heared in the new movie
3. Kinder des Urwalds = Children of the Jungle(?) as heared in the movie in German
4. Dschungel-Rhythmus = Jungle Rhythm as heared in the movie in German
5. H?r auf Mich = Trust In Me as heared in Jungle Book 1 in German
6. Colonel Hathis Marsch = Colonel Hathi's March as heared in Jungle Book 1 in German
7. Deine Freunde = That's What Friends Are For as heared in Jungle Book 1 in German
8. Trautes Heim = My Own Home as heared in Jungle Book 1 in German
9. Nehmt Euch Viel Viel Zeit = Take Yourself A Lot Of Time as heared in Jungle Book Kids in German
10. Probier's mal mit Gem?tlichkeit (sch?n locker) (extended) - Stefan Raab, special remix / new version of The Bare Necessities used as title track for the Jungle Book Kids in German
11. Jungle Book Groove 7" Master Upbeat - as found on Disney's Jungle Boogie CD release, in English
12. Dschungel-Rhythmus - Jungle Rhythm in German, performed by the Ten Tenors
13. The Bare Necessities - in English, performed by the Ten Tenors
As I do not (yet) own the original US-soundtrack and did not see the movie in either version I can't say anything about which song is which in the original version, but just looking at the tracklisting it is obvious that quiet a few songs from the movie found on the original US-release are missing on our German release which has got all the material from the original German soundtrack of the Jungle Book instead, even so that soundtrack is still available.
Yours
Dirk
