Why are all the posts I read today centered instead of left justified? Am I the only who finds it really annoying?
???
Nothing wrong with mine - all left justified as normal.
Is there something you clicked on that could have caused this?
I notice that there is that option in the reply box (top right).
Anyway, I guess it's your display not the site that's doing something funny.

Exactly! I am talking about reading the board. I use IE 6 and never noticed this issue in the past.
This is still happening for you now? When did it first start? I am assuming that you have visited the forum on multiple occasions since December when the new software was installed.

Internet Explorer 6? Holy antiquated web browsers, Batman! I would look into updating to IE7, IE8, or switching to Firefox, if I were you.

Man, I wonder if anyone is trying to access the site with an Apple IIc? :)

Browser stats for Magic Music:

Internet Explorer* = 50.19%
Firefox = 31.03%
Safari = 17.25%
Chrome = 0.78%
Opera = 0.36%

* IE6 = 24.3%; IE7 = 71.26%; IE8 = 4.44%

Weird! I just did some testing on my own and, sure enough, posts are all centered for IE6 users.

It appears to be a problem associated with the header ad spot. I have turned it off until I have time to run more tests.

Actually now the majority of posts look right.
They should all look okay for IE6 users now...

...except for the posts in this topic where we were messin' with you! :)
In the mean time, I would still recommend that anyone using IE6 upgrade to something else ASAP. IE6 is well known for being a security risk and it is not exactly standards compliant. I'm a fan of Firefox, myself.

Yes Jay, very funny :p

Took me a moment or two to realize that you'd done a little "adjustment" of the posts saying "nothing wrong with mine".
I was using Firefox so that was probably why I didn't have a problem (then).
I feel quite seasick now :)

Had to revert back to IE6 because some old (and much loved) versions of programs won't run if it's installed then found Firefox and became a convert.

All is well for IE6 users now. It turns out there was a mistake in the HTML, a single missing '>' character, that other browsers were able to ignore. :blush:

While working on this problem, I was shocked to learn that text was not wrapping around the photos of Hannah Montana and the 1964 World's Fair box set for IE6 users when viewing the main page. What an ugly mess that was! I can't believe no one pointed it out! I have switched to some older more compatible HTML code and I am happy to report that everything looks great now.

It's time to move on.

Unfortunately, things are going to go downhill quickly for IE6 users when we make the jump to IP.Board 3.0 in a couple of months. The forums will work, you'll still be able to read and post messages, but a lot of things are going to look messy. :(

A lot of websites are no longer compatible with IE6. I am sure anyone who is still using IE6 has run into at least one website that has recommended that they upgrade to IE7, IE8, or Firefox.

Microsoft has set July 13, 2010 as End of Life for IE6. Don't wait, start upgrading now, folks!
