Hong Kong Disneyland

I did a live audio mix for my video edit of the show (Disney in the Stars) - it came out quite well IMHO. The vid is available (for free, as always) at Rodentsections.

I Abosolutely love this soundtrack! It has to be one of the best firework show soundtracks ever! It has not been released to the public as of yet, So far HDKL has only released a Opening Album which featured various artists singing disney songs thier way but, no audo from the actual park has been available as of yet. Here's hoping for a Hong Kong Disneyland Official Album release in 2008!!!

oh let's not forget that the King Arthur's Carousel track that was released on the Disneyland 50th Anniversary set is actually used in HKDL's carousel.

Especially when they've been talking for years about changing DL's castle, adding turrets, etc... to make it more spectacular.

Despite the message of Meet the Robinsons, Disney's philosophy usually is "Keep looking at the bottom line".

I'm not too crazy about the score for the Hong Kong fireworks show. It is certainly well orchestrated and arranged, but is a glorified pastiche of every other fireworks show put on in California and Florida. What bothers me most about it is that there is no new original theme.

I love how Dreams come true, Wishes, Believe, and Imagination are all considered (by Disney at least) to be unique themes. I hope they do Faith in 2008 and Hope in 2009!

Nope... the fireworks were only part of the press event. The daily Bougillumination show doesn't have any fireworks.

I'm jealous of the Tokyo Parks, I love how they have real "celebrations" like Ohana Bash. The whole park is decorated in a much more thorough and creative way than this stupid year of a million dreams thing, and they get a CD for it.

While Sindbad gets a new theme song to a already advanced animatronics ride, we get cartoons on screens and a theme song removed in El Rio. I hope they make a thorough CD for Sindbad.

They get cutting edge while we get cut rate as Bill said.

"I hope they make a thorough CD for Sindbad."

I have no faith that this will happen, as they never released the first version. I do hope the theme song shows up on a future "Music Album", but so far no audio from Sindbad has been release officialy...oh well.

Though I would think the marketability of an Alan Menken song would count for something... who knows?

Yeah, you would think. So, maybe there's hope, but so far the attraction doesn't seem to be making much of a difference in it's attendance, so we'll see.

Yeah, but before it didn't have such a catchy song. ;)
