Help me find the solo recording of 'Everybody Wants To Be A Cat' by Phil Harris.

Does anyone remember the jazzy, solo version of 'Everybody Wants To Be A Cat' by Phil Harris? Besides being available on the 'Story of The Aristocats' album, I believe it was also available on the 45 RPM version----you know where you turn the page when you hear Tinkerbell-------and also on one or more of the old vinyl 'Best of Disney' collections.

I'm dying to find a copy of this recording. I was actually disappointed when I first saw the Aristocats and realized that this recording was not from the original soundtrack. I had the album as a kid but didn't see the movie for several more years.

I don't have a turntable, so buying the vinyl and doing a needledrop is out of the question. Has an mp3 of this song been posted anywhere? I'd LOVE to have a copy of it. I don't imagine it has ever been released on CD. :'( Anyone know where I can find a copy of this?? Thanks!!!

It actually sounds better than I imagined it would. My copy was pretty scratchy too as far as I can remember. I haven't heard this in about 30 years. I think I ditched my Disney Records for a while after Star Wars first came out. That is.....until the Jungle Book was re-released back in 1978.

Thanks a million, Bill!!

Re: Help me find the solo recording of 'Everybody Wants To Be A Cat' by Phil Har

I have the LP "'The Aristocats' and Other Cat Songs" and "The Best of Disney - Vol. 1" on cassette has the solo recording of "Everybody Wants to Be a Cat", not the movie version of this song, just the solo version with just Phil Harris singing. I'll post a video of a record playing that song from "The Aristocats" later.
