Golden Dreams?

Hello

As we all know, Golden Dreams will soon meet its demise in the upcoming years. I know it's not a very popular show, but I will certainly miss it dearly. I contacted Disney about whether they were planning on selling the movie on DVD in the future and they said it wasn't currently being planned.

Anyway, is there any chance of the Golden Dreams soundtrack popping up in any of the Official Soundtracks? Maybe 2009 before it makes its departure? It'd be a shame to lose that music forever. ;) Is there any reason why it wasn't included in this year's official soundtrack?

I wasn't really aware about it and don't know the details but apparently in its very first year the actual film was given out as some educational video to teachers... Does anyone know anything about the truth in this or what happened to said copies? ;)

Apparently it even had the original unedited Chinese dynamite accident. :(

I couldn?t include ?Just One Dream? from GOLDEN DREAMS because of rights. It wasn?t recorded under a phono agreement, and Heather Headley is an artist signed to another label. Even though we paid a SUBSTANTIAL fee for clearances when I released it on the DCA Alum in 2001, the agreement could only be made for one album. Now if I was able to keep the DCA album as a separate product, I could have continued to use the cue ? because it would have still been the DCA Official Album no matter how many updates it went through. However, I was forced to combine both the Disneyland and DCA material on to one product. Which makes sense on a merchandising level, but obliterated my rights to use that track again (which is also why I couldn?t include it in 2005 and 2006) because it is a different album and would be considered a second use (see my signature).

Thank you, Randy for the explanation. I actually wanted to clarify - I wasn't referring to "Just One Dream" although that is a lovely song. I was referring to the background music in the movie. You know that little song that plays during the intro/narration? Based on your reply, I guess that would be an even bigger headache :eek:

Just for the record, I have that DCA soundtrack that was linked to above. It's sad that isn't sold anymore, because I think DCA has amazing songs: Bakery Theme, Seasons of the Vine (RIP), Eureka Parade, etc. Thanks again Randy for the quick reply? :)

It would be nice to have the separate albums again, but I'm not surprised at all why they don't sell the original music album. Half of that material is out-of-date because the park has (and will continue to) changed so much since opening. I would really love the score to Golden Dreams as well, but I don't think it will ever happen. I got a track from the net a few years ago that has a bit of the score, but ti starts off really awful quality and kind of ruins the listening experience.
