Ford "Magic Skyway" song???

While listening to a live recording of the Ford pavillion's "Magic Skyway" attraction from the NY World's Fair, I noticed that there was not a theme song. I thought that the Sherman brothers wrote one for this ride, but it was nowhere on this recording. Basically all I heard was Walt Disney narrating the whole thing with some background music for effect.

Does anybody know if there was, in fact, a theme song? If so, is there any way to find it and listen to it?

There was no theme song for the Magic Skyway attraction or exhibit gardens.

However, the Sherman Brothers wrote "Get The Feel Of The Wheel Of A Ford" for a planned Disneyland edition of Magic Skyway, which ultimately was never built.

Several versions (western, surf, march, jazz, etc.) of the song were recorded.

The box set has been cancelled owing to clearance issues which, by all appearances, shall remain unresolved for the foreseeable future.

Thanks, 1313, I didn't know that "Magic Skyway" was planned for Disneyland as well. Although it makes sense since all of the other attractions from the fair made it to Disneyland. Do you know what happened to cause it to not be built, but instead "Primeval World" was all that was used?

I'm also very disappointed that the CD boxed set has been cancelled due to clearance issues. I sure wish there was a way to get ahold of all of those recordings! I was really looking forward to that set...

Thanks again for the info,

Although Ford did not opt to sponser this attraction or any other at Disneyland, and although the Cavemen animations were deemed to be too primitive to be worth saving. The Dinosaurs were not quite the only things to be taken from this exibit. In the building of the system of conveyers and track for the Ford chassis to be pulled on the WEDway people mover system was basically developed. I am pretty sure they did not likely use any of the parts over (though if I am wrong it would be interesting if they did). But the things they learned led to another piece of the "New Tomorrowland" that was built in Disneyland in 1967
