FLAC to ALAC

I have some CDs in FLAC format for archival purposes that I've ripped using AutoFLAC, EAC, AccurateRip, and the like. Previously I've used iTunes to rip CDs into Apple Lossless, but apparently iTunes should not be trusted to rip CDs. I was wondering if there is a way on Windows computers to convert FLAC files into Apple Lossless while retaining metadata. Previous searches have been fruitless. One attempt I made decoded all of the FLAC files into WAVs, then were re-encoded into ALAC, but this took away the metadata tags and took an incredible amount of disk space. Does anyone have a better technique?

Thanks in advance!

dBpoweramp Music Converter.

dBpoweramp or EAC is what you want to use for ripping. Mac users who don't want to bother with Boot Camp, VMware Fusion, etc., should use XLD (which can also do conversion w/tags).
